Chapter 6: Roller skates

"You're here!"
Yoohyeon screamed in shock seeing Jaemin next to Raewon.

"Yeah as you can see."
Jaemin scoffed and made his way to one of the couches that were in front of the entrance to the rink.

"I didn't know he'd agree to come."
Yoohyeon said in shock.

"Trust me, neither did I."
Raewon shrugged and the three of them went to rent roller skates.

Raewon handed Jaemin the rented roller skates and he looked at her confused.

"I can't ride."

"Neither do I. We have a chance to learn today."

He took the roller skates from her and put them on his feet. The rest sat on the couches and started putting their roller skates on their feet as well.

Raewon walked slowly to the rink, holding on to the railing. Jaemin followed her. They began to ride, pushing off from the railing.

Both rode well for the first time. They crossed the dance floor a few times in circles when suddenly Raewon found herself close to Jaemin.

"Don't ride on me!"

"It's not my fault, my roller skates lead me like this!"

They both began to push to avoid running into each other but this made them lose their balance.

Raewon landed on Jaemin, banging her head against his chest. As she lifted her head, her eyes widened and she tried to get up as fast as she could but that only made her more entangled in his legs.

"Wait! Don't move!"

Jaemin said frustrated and grabbed Raewon's hips. The touch brought a blush to her face and she tried to avoid the eye contact with him. He picked her up gently and placed her beside him. They avoided the looks of other people passing by them.

Some were laughing under their breaths but Raewon didn't care at the moment. She focused on her thoughts which caused even more blush onto her face. The situation repeated itself over and over in her head until someone waved a hand in front of her eyes.

Thanks to daydreaming, she didn't notice how Jaemin had already gotten up and was now extending his hand towards her.

"Stop daydreaming, get up."
She scoffed and grabbed his hand.

As they rode like that for a while, Raewon met Jaemin's horrified gaze. When she looked in the direction he was looking, she noticed Sangwook and his bunch of idiots who had just entered the roller rink.

Raewon, thinking spontaneously, drove up to Jaemin and grabbed his hand.

"Let's hide."

Before Jaemin could protest, Raewon was already dragging him towards the exit of the dance floor. When they both went down, they hid behind the wall, waiting for Sangwook to go with his friends to another place.

"What's your plan?"

"We're escaping from here."

"I agree. But why are you helping me at all?"
Jaemin's expression suddenly changed to confused. She sighed as she took off her roller skates.

"Because I hate this guy, much more for the way he treats you."

"Since when do you care about my life?"

"Since when do you ask so many questions?"

"Ahh fine, you won."
He rolled his eyes and leaned out from behind the wall.

"They're gone."

"Very good. Let's run!"
Raewon started running towards the exit and Jaemin followed right behind her.

Once they were both outside, they were breathing heavily, their hands on their knees.

"Didn't they see us?"

"Probably not."
Jaemin ran a hand through his hair and stared unknowingly at Raewon.

"What?"

"What now?"

"The last person in the room cleans our room for a week!"
Raewon screamed excitedly and started running down the sidewalk laughing out loud.

"Wait! It's not fair! Don't leave me here alone!"

Jaemin, afraid that at any moment Sangwook would go outside, started chasing her.
