Emily's POV
Mom dropped me off at Max's house, I wait an appropriate amount of time pretending to be waiting for Max to answer the door before Mom's car is gone. I turn around and head for Eddie's house. I'm kinda shitting bricks but I really do want to be his friend. If it leads to us being in a relationship then great if not oh well. Until then friendly business only. No kissing.
I make it to Eddie's front door. I can hear the sound of TV playing and nothing else, so I knock. I don't hear any movement or anything. I look at my phone it's already six, a few minutes pass so I text Eddie.
Emily: I'm here
I hear Eddie's phone going off inside, still no answer. This mother fuckers not ignoring me. So I knock even louder this time.
"Eddie!" I tell. Finally I hear the sound of someone shuffling around inside. The door swings open and I'm greeted by an Eddie who looks like he just woke up. Still in his pajamas, no shirt and hair all a mess. The hello kitty bandaid still on his forehead. I look down at his shirtless body. I think he noticed because he speaks up.
"Hi," He cracks a smile, "I'll be right back." He slams the door shut, leaving me outside. What the fuck?
A few moments pass before he finally come back. This time wearing a tank top, looks like he cut the sleeves off on his own.
"Did you just wake up?" I ask pushing past him, letting my self in.
"Yeah uhm sorry, I laid down and I guess I fell asleep." Eddie laughs trying to tidy up the living room.
"It's okay, sorry to wake you." I smile at him.
"Sorry for the mess obviously I didn't have time to prepare for your arrival." Eddie's says, cleaning up the dishes that were sat on the coffee table.
"I don't care, it's okay." I say looking towards the hallway where his bedroom is, wondering if we'll go in there or stay out here.
"You can't go in my room." He mutters.
"Why not?" I ask.
"You think this is a mess? My room is ten times worse." Eddie sighs, trying to fix his messy hair.
"I don't care, Eddie." I say firmly.
"I do care."
"Okay then." I say dropping the topic, sitting down on his couch. He leaves me alone in the living room and goes to his bedroom. When he comes back out he has a metal lunch box. "What's that?"
"My stash." He says sitting down next to me. I watch as he opens it up. He has little baggies of weed, what I can imagine is joints and a bunch of little tools that I have no idea what their uses are. "You want Sativa, Indica?"
"What's the difference?" I ask, curiously.
"Basically body high versus mind high." He explains shortly.
"You choose."
"Okay." He starts rummaging through all his stuff, pulls out a blunt. "This okay?" He says showing it off to me.
"I guess so." He laughs at how inexperienced I am before finding a lighter. I watch him intently as he puts it up to his lips, uses a lighter ignite the other end, and then he sucks air through it. Pulling it away, he holds the smoke in for a few moments before letting the smoke escape his lips. I'm in a trance watching him, I can't explain it but something about that was so hot.
"Your turn." He smiles passing it towards me.
"What do I do?"
"What I just did." I roll my eyes. "Just suck air through it hold it for a moment and let the smoke out."
"Okay." I shakily grab it from his hand and put it up to my mouth, sucking the air. Maybe I sucked to hard because it hurt, now I'm coughing. Eddie laughs at me. He gets up and grabs me water, he hands it to me and I drink some.
"Try again, slower this time." I try again and this time it's better, I don't have a coughing fit. He grabs it from my hand and does it again, I watch.
"How are you so good at this?"
"A lot of practice." He laughs letting the smoke out of his mouth. He passes it back to me and I try again. I'm getting better at it. "Hold it longer." He suggests, so I hit it again. This time holding it in longer before letting go. It goes so smoothly I decide to try again, and again.
"You're done." He says taking it away from me, puffing a few more times for himself.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because it's your first time. I don't want get you too high." He smiles, putting out in a ash tray.
"Okay." I sit back on the couch waiting for the effects of it to happen. "How long does it take?"
"Depends usually like thirty minutes to an hour for me." He explains, slouching back into the couch.
"Damn that long?"
"Yup." We sit there is silence for many moments, awkwardly.

"I think I can feel it Edward." I physically can't stop smiling, my cheeks hurt.
"How do you know my name?" He ask, laughing.
"My cheeks hurt." I laugh ignoring his question.
"Which ones?" Eddie asks, causing him self to burst out laughing.
"Nasty." I say going to play slap Eddie's shoulder but I can't find the energy to do so.
"Only for you." He grins and I can feel my self get so red, uncontrollably I start laughing. I can't stop. "Are you okay?" Eddie's ask.
"Yeah I'm okay." I grin.
"Okay."
"Are you okay?" I ask Eddie.
"I'm so happy." He grins a toothy smile.
"Why?"
"Cause I'm high," he pauses, "Oh yeah and you're here that's a plus."
"I feel so good." I explain, still smiling. I can't stop. I want to be closer to Eddie so I scoot closer to him on the couch. He's half laying on the couch, I take the opportunity to climb in between his legs and lay on him. I fit perfectly, cuddling into his chest.
"That's good." Eddie says, I chuckle cause we sound so stupid.
"You're good." I look up at Eddie, he's staring up at the ceiling expressionless. "Are you there?" I wave my hand in his face.
"Just thinking." He says still straight faced. How is he so serious right now when I can't stop giggling.
