Pocahontas heads to work the next night. Leaving her husband and son home. As she enters she is greeted by the other members of the club.
Like most the dancers there Pocahontas had a dream of being a real dancer one day not just an exotic dancer. She had always loved the dance her personal favorite was belly dancing. It was one of the first dances she had learned in grade school.
"Hey Poca" Cinde says stepped into the back with the others
"Hey Cinde how are things"
"OK, we are all going through therapy"
"Maybe that's what I need"
"You alright" Cinde asked sitting beside her at one of the vanitys
"Yeah just a lot going on in my head these days"
"Talk to me girl, it'll help. How's Thomas"
She smiles at her sons name, he was her world and she would do anything to keep him safe. Pocahontas never intended to have children but it all changed when Thomas came around.
"He's a pistol. Going to break a lot of hearts one day for sure."
"I bet, you and Rolfe doing alright"
"Yeah we had a full week last week"
"That's great and Smith?" Cinde asked, she was one of the only ones that knew about Smith and Pocahontas relationship. Pocahontas had gone to her for advice a couple of times.
"He asked me to leave Rolfe, again"
"And"
"I can't Cinde, I still love my husband"
"You should try talking to Rolfe about Smith"
"I couldn't he would kill us both"
"You have more balls then I do," Cinde tells her "I would be worried Prince would find out"
Pocahontas smiles she did worry but she never let it get in the way of what she felt she needed.
"Are you dancing tonight" she asked Cinde
"No at the bar all night, I just came back for gossip"
They both laughed, it was a place to hear the gossip, all the juicy details in the dancers life. It was where they shared secrets about love affairs and other stuff they wouldn't tell the world.
"So who's picking you up tonight" Cinde asked her
"Rolfe, Smith has to work late I won't see him again until Friday."
"I need to be getting back out there to our costumers" Cinde tells her
TV announcement"Another tale villain caught today" the news woman say "They found Cruella Deville trying to break into a pet shop on third street."
Cinde and Pocahontas both listened to the announcement as they described all the details that went on with Cruella.
"I hope they find them all" Cinde says
"They will, I'm just grateful I don't have to worry about that" Pocahontas tells her
Cinde looks over at her friend "the only thing you have to worry about is Rolfe finding out about Smith hum"
"Right"
"See you on stage" Ceide tells her leaving her to dress.
On stage Pocahontas loved to be center of attention. It was another reason she didn't want to quit the club. It made her feel good about herself and freed her mind. That night after the club closed she steps out looking around the parking lot for Rolfe, Smith is the first one she sees not seeing Rolfe right away. She heads toward Smith a smile on her face.
"What are you doing here Rolfe is picking me up tonight" she tells him
"I had to see you, maybe we have time"
"I can't tonight," she tells him than hears a horn blows she looks up seeing Rolfe her heart starts to hammer in her chest. "Friday" she tells Smith walking around his car
Smith takes off so that he wouldn't get caught. He had missed up this time. He had never been so brave to chance it with Rolfe.
Pocahontas rushed over to where Rolfe was waiting on her.
"Who was that" Rolfe asked watching the car slow ti a stop at the red light.
"Just some guy that was in the club tonight"
"Is that right"
"I was just telling him I had a ride"
He smiles at his wife not sure he believed what she was selling.
"Let's get home I left Thomas with the woman across the street"
John Rolfe had his suspicions about his wife but he loved her so much that he pushed it to the farthest back of his mind. Tonight seeing her go to that man had him thinking his suspension was right.. that night as he watched Pocahontas sleep he thinks about the guy from the club. He had seen that car before but for the life of him he couldn't figure out where.
The next morning he wakes leaving out without waking his wife or son. As he pulls into the parking lot at work he sees the car, the same car he had seen Pocahontas leaning into last night.
Parking his own BMW he heads toward the gray mercedes. He takes his time walking around it checking it out.
He notes that the parking spot belongs to someone on the higher level so what where they doing at a strip club and why were they talking with his wife?
With his thoughts running though his head he heads toward the double doors of Smith interprise.
He had been working for John Smith as the company janitor for over ten years now. Smith had been nice to him gave him a raise every year or two and helped out when their son got sick. They where comfortable working beside each other and Smith had offered him a job as partner two days ago Rolfe had not told anyone about this. But he had been given it some thoughts and had made his mind up.
"Morning Rolfe" Smith says as he inters the room
"Smith"
"Something bothering you"
"No"
"If there's something bothering you I'll take care of it"
He gives his friend a smile "I'm sure it's nothing just a little coincidence"
"Well don't leave me hanging"
"Do you know who owns the gray Mercedes in the lot"
Smith smiles "Sure do why"
"Who"
"It's mine"
Rolfe looks at Smith for the longest yes it has got to be a coincidence that's all it is.
"I just seen a car just like it that's all" he tells Smith
"It's a popular car, how's Thomas doing"
"He's good growing"
"Have you thought about my offer"
"I have and I'm going take it" he give his boss a smile
"Welcome aboard Rolfe, I'll get the paperwork for you to sign and you can move your stuff into a cube today and start tomorrow"
"Sounds great, I can't wait to tell Pocahontas she's going be excited"
Smith wasn't so sure about that maybe she will. He had thought Rolfe would had talked to her before taking the job. He knew better though, Rolfe and Pocahontas relationship was anything but normal. He gave his new co worker a pat on the back and heads to his office.
