Rumi's POV

I was so pumped! Tomorrow, we will actually start fighting villains! Well, maybe not tomorrow. And Izanagi isn't as bad as I thought he would be. I don't know much about Hawks, though. I should probably thank him again for saving me. It is midnight, and I think Izanagi and Hawks are probably asleep. I decided to browse the internet on my phone. But it didn't take long before I found a video of me failing to take down that villain yesterday. My head started pounding, and I groaned in pain. That video ruined my mood for the night. I hate the media! After my headache calmed down, I decided to get a glass of water. I opened the door and was met with Hawks. I was startled a bit. Why was he at my bedroom door? Did he need to tell me something? Or was he spying on me? Okay, calm down, Rumi. I'll just see what he has to say.

"Oh! Hey! Sorry for scaring you!" He exclaimed, waving his hands. In his other hand, he was holding a black folder.

It was hard for me to take this guy seriously when his wings covered the entire door frame.

"No worries. Need something?" I asked in my normal voice.

"Yeah, I was about to knock and see if you were still awake!" He laughed.

Is he stupid? His knocking would have woken me up if I had been asleep.

"Why? Need something?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I need to talk to you." He replied.

"About what? If it's about that villain I couldn't beat, I'd rather not talk about it." I spoke, assuming he wanted to talk about it. At this point, my voice was low and soft, and I didn't even realize it.

"It's about our mission. Trust me, you won't regret it." He reassured me.

I agreed, and we made our way to the dining area. We walked to the small coffee table and sat in the chairs.

"Alright, I'm here. What is it?" I asked.

He opened the folder and started taking pictures of the targets out of the folder and spreading them onto the table. What was he doing?

"Look at these villains closely. Notice anything?" He questioned.

I looked at the villains closely but I didn't notice anything. I shook my head.

"Alright, let's turn to the back." He said.

Back? He flipped all the pictures, and names were written on the back. Names of the villains... I noticed one of the names was missing.

"Why is one of their names missing?" I asked.

He shrugged before saying, "That's what I'm trying to figure out. Although, it doesn't really matter. I'm probably just overthinking it. So sorry for waking you up!"

"Why didn't you wake Izanagi up?" I questioned.

"Oh, no reason." He replied.

I just knew he was lying. He obviously doesn't like or trust Izanagi.

"Okay, night." I spoke.

I stood up, and started to make my way back to my bedroom. Before I could enter, I felt a strong hand on my shoulder. My rabbit instincts kicked in, so I froze. I turned around slowly, and saw Hawks smiling. Honestly, who was I even expecting the person to be?

"Need something?" I asked, a bit annoyed.

"Yeah..." He started.

"You have one of my feathers."
