Keigo's POV
Suddenly, I pulled away embarrassed and said, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that without permission."
"It's fine." Rumi replied, giving me a small smile.
Things went silent for a few seconds, before I confessed, "Rumi, these pass few days I've spent getting to know you... I... what I'm trying to say is I care about you deeply, more than just colleagues. Could I... try taking you to dinner or something?"
"I care about you too, Keigo." She responded, standing up, "About the dinner, I'll be in front of your agency this Friday evening. Don't be late."
My eyes widened and I was surprised she accepted.
Ryuko's POV
"HAWKS ASKED YOU OUT?!" I shouted, in surprise.
Rumi was discharged from the hospital a few hours ago. She had come straight to my agency after to tell me the story.
"Yeah, what's the big deal?" Rumi asked, confused.
"Seriously? This is a big deal! Plus, I thought you don't do love, Rumi." I responded, putting my hands on my hips.
"Well, a lot happened and... I kinda like him too. He's cool." She added, smirking a little.
I sighed and asked, "Alright, when is he taking you on a date?"
"Friday." She answered.
"We have to go shopping!" I exclaimed, smiling as she rolled her eyes.
Rumi's POV
I stood at the entrance of Keigo's agency feeling excited and a bit nervous. When I saw Keigo in the air, I took a deep breath and straightened my new dress which was very itchy. Keigo landed near me, wearing a tailored black suit.
"Wow, Rumi, you look amazing." He said, his eyes lighting up as he took in my appearance.
"Thank you, Keigo. You look nice too." I replied.
Afterwards, we rushed to the restaurant before the paparazzi could get here. Keigo's presence was comforting and our conversations flowed naturally. I found myself laughing more than I had in a long time. He was attentive, his charm clear in every smile and gentle gesture. The restaurant was amazing and matched the elegance of the evening. Keigo seemed to enjoy himself as much as I did. By the end of the night, as we stood outside the restaurant, Keigo took my hand gently.
" I really enjoyed tonight," he said, "Would you like to do this again sometime?"
"Of course. It was fun." I responded, softly.
Unexpectedly, I looked up to see cameras being shoved in our faces. The flashes and brightness caused me to close my eyes shut.
"Mirko! Were you and Hawks on a date?"
"Hawks, when did you start dating Mirko?"
"How long have you been together?"
Suddenly, I felt myself being lifted off the floor. I opened my eyes to see a bunch of feathers under me.
"Sorry about that." Keigo muttered as we landed on a building rooftop.
"Thanks." I replied.
The rooftop was quiet, the city's lights shimmering below us. As I gazed out the cityscape, I felt Keigo's hand gently take mine.
"Rumi," he began, softly, "Can I kiss you?"
I nodded, before he leaned in and kissed me. The kiss was both tender and passionate, as though he was pouring all his feelings into that single moment. I melted against him, the world around us fading away. When we finally pulled away, our foreheads resting together, I saw the deep affection in his eyes.
"I love you, Rumi." He whispered.
I smiled, and responded, "I love you too, Keigo."
