Keigo's POV
"That was so embarrassing! I took down so many villains that day, so I think I exhausted myself." Rumi explained, giggling.
Wow, I can't believe the same person who slammed the door on me yesterday was talking to me like I'd known her for years. Well, what can I say? I guess I have that charm.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked.
We were currently on top of a building, so I couldn't make myself comfortable.
"I wanted to... apologize. For... slamming the door on you. You're not a bad...person." She stammered, pausing and gritting her teeth after every few words.
"That was hard to watch." I replied, smiling, "I appreciate the apology, though."
"Don't judge me. I've never done this before." She added, rolling her eyes.
"Done what before?" I asked.
"Talked to someone like this. Well, except for my best friend, Ryuko. Maybe Edgeshot and Beast Jeanist as well. Anyways, you get the point." She explained.
I nodded and added, "I get it."
She sighed and asked, "What about you? How often have you done this?"
"Well, I don't have that many friends either. Sometimes, being a popular hero is tough. It's nice to have people who depend on you, but most of the time I just feel lonely." I explained.
"Yeah. I understand." She added, "Hawks, I have something to tell you."
I stood up and asked, "What is it?""Thanks for coming here with me." She responded.
"Anytime," I commented, smiling. She smiled back and I'm not gonna lie.
I've never seen a smile so damn cute.
