RWBY V2 E5: First missions

General POV

The day after the dance everyone involved was told to meet Ozpin in his office, this included MDAY, RWBY, ISOT, BACH, BEMD, GEHJ, and JNPR. So yeah the office was really crowded that day.

Ozpin: I just want to start off by saying, thank you for warning us about this impending danger. Without you we couldn't know what we were fighting against.

Thomas: You're welcome sir.

Izuku: Sir, but what about All-For-One?

Glynda: None of your villains have surfaced as of right now. Most likely they are operating in the shadows alongside Cinder and her goons.

Yamato: What abut Diesel 10's team?

Ironwood: They never resurfaced, they more than likely are in hiding but our military is closing in.

Ozpin: As for Diesel 10, he's been transported to Atlas and is being kept there indefinitely.

Missouri: Good to know sir. Anything else?

Glynda: No, that is all that we have as of right now. Mission assignments shall be handed out in a bit so return to your dorms and get ready.

The Teams: *salute* Yes sirs and ma'am.

The teams all walk off and into the elevator where they returned the First Year's dorms before walking off to ready any and all supplies they may need.

Timeskip 30 minutes

Everyone had been gathered in the auditorium sorted by their country of origin and by Year. Teams chatted amongst themselves as the last few teams filtered in. RWBY was among those teams and soon they walked up next to MDAY and ISOT in the front. CMEN was too concerned with the loss of D10 and the unresponsiveness of the virus that they didn't notice Missouri and Montana being chummy.

Missouri: So, what do you think we should do for a mission?

Alex: I think we should do something to help the Coast Guard.

Yamato: Yes because massive warships with massive drafts are going to be able to guard the shallowest waters of Remnant. Yeah right.

Doc: What about escort missions?

Missouri: Hm......there is a cruise line that heads into Grimm territory by seagoing vessel, I think that's a mission.

Then Glynda and Ozpin took the stage so MDAY shut up.

Glynda: Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin.

Ozpin: Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best.
