RWBY V3 E5: PENNY!!!

General POV

The day after Arbiter's visit and both Missouri and Yamato's first kiss was the day of the single rounds. Missouri was in the arena alongside Pyrrha, Yang, Penny, and multiple others who he didn't know. In the crowd Doc was getting agitated.

Doc: "Hey, where's Ruby?" he asked, concerned.

Thomas: "Aw, is loverboy concerned?" he asked cheekily.

Alex: "No duh Tommy boy." he responded, before turning to Doc, "Seriously though, you good?"

Doc: "I have a bad feeling about this." he said, referencing Star Wars.

James: "Of course he found a reference somewhere." he huffed, before turning back to the arena.

Meanwhile in the arena, Missouri stood in a circle with the other contestants who still remained which included 3 Valeans(himself included), 2 Atlesians, 1 Vacuan, and 2 Mistralians.

Port: "Here we are folks! The final rounds of the 40th Vytal Festival!" he announced, "Unlike the previous rounds the 1v1's are different, care to explain Barty?"

Oobleck: "Yes! The 1v1 rounds are set up in an actual tournament fight." he said, "The 8 competitors shall go head-to-head, and after 4 fights we move on to the semi-finals, and after 2 round we have the finals, the last person shall be the 40th champion of the Vytal Festival!"

Port: "Now, let's see who's going up first....." he said, as he started up the randomizer.

A sign came up on the billboard over Amity which usually showed the aura levels, it had all the opponent's names and their academy of origin in separate segments. The sign spun quickly and when it stopped the opponents who got selected would be the ones to fight the first match. The sign spun and the first opponents appeared......Penny vs Pyrrha.

Doc: "No...." he said breathlessly

Missouri: "Good luck Pyrrha," he said obliviously, "win one for Beacon will ya?"

Pyrrha: "I will." she said.

Pyrrha walked away to the lockers to grab her weapons, Missouri made his way to his team to watch the match. Doc on the other hand had bolted away, leaving Yamato and Montana waiting for Missouri, unsurprisingly they were confused by Doc's actions.

Yamato: "Where's Doc off to?" she asked.

Alex: "No idea," he shrugged, "probably needed the restroom or something."

Percy: "Must be some explosive diarrhea huh?" he joked.

Edward: "Don't be rude Percy." he scolded, "That could be seriously painful to people."

It was at this time that Missouri arrived.

Missouri: "Hi all, what's up?" he asked, "And where's Doc?"

Alex: "No idea," he said, shrugging, "he just bolted as soon as he saw the matchmaking."

Yamato: "Let's question him later." she said, butting into the conversation, "For now I just want to just enjoy your company."

This kinda shocked those who knew her.

Jaune: "Has hell frozen over?" he asked, shocked, "Cause we just got a tsundere to like us."

Thomaa: "No, but we all heard it." he said, equally shocked.

Yamato: "You 2 ruined the damn moment!" she said, as she glared daggers at the 2 engines, "I'll be giving you your worst nightmares tonight......"
