Last Ship V5 E1: Welcome back

General POV

After the group had reappeared some started freaking out and others just got readjusted to their predicament.

Ruby: "HOW DID YOU GUYS LIVE LIKE THIS?!?!" she yelled.

Doc: "Oh my God!" he yelled, "How're we gonna work our semblances?!"

Missouri: "Let's cross that bridge when we get there later." he groaned.

Enterprise: "Well, we have to live with these forms for a while so get cozy!" she ordered.

Yamato: "If only we had something to shoot at," she said, "maybe that would speed shit up."

Laffey: "Language...." she said sleepily.

As they got used to their new forms helicopters flew directly towards the group with the intent of identifying them and attempting to destroy them.

Illinois: "Perfect timing." he smirked.

Kentucky: "Oh this is gonna be a turkey shoot!" he yelled in excitement.

Ayanami: "Oh yes, rub that in our faces will you." she said sarcastically.

Flak erupted around the helicopters as the carriers launched their aircraft. The helicopters were quickly shot down as the fighters and dive bombers flew over Nathan James and started strafing possible enemy targets such as people who were about to try and take motorboats to an Arleigh Burke Flight IIA in the harbor, and a power plant with a weird odor.

Meanwhile, Nathan James was confused by the newcomers and turned to the crew near his bow.

Nathan James: "Who're these guys?" he asked.

Mike: "No idea, but get ready to fire on them, they may be enemies." he said, from his spot in the camera room.

Wildcats and Zeroes then strafe the water as an unseen small boat goes up in flames, Seafires and BF-109's then shoot down another group of Helicopters trying to attack Nathan James.

Nathan James: "Well, any help is good help!" he declared.

On Nathan's deck 3 enlisted members of crew were fighting the helicopters but were about to be intercepted by enemies.

Before Mike or Nathan could warn the crew members the enemies were turned to swiss cheese by a CIWS turret.

Nathan looked confused before a battleship came alongside and fired a 16 inch round into a helicopter.

Nathan James: "Missouri?!" he yelled.

Missouri: "Good to see you too Nathan." he said, "I trust you looked after Pearl Harbor for me."

Nathan James: "Um, well, yeah, but....where'd you come from?!" he stuttered out.

Before Missouri could say anything the destroyers and cruisers he and his team brought along for the ride raced past into combat using flak and 5 inch gunfire to shoot down more helicopters.

Laffey: "Disabling self-imposed limiter." she said, racing past.

Cleveland: "LET'S GET 'EM!!!" she yelled.

Takao: "My gunfire shall cut through them like nothing." she said bluntly.

Prinz Eugen: "C'mhere boys, don't you want a good time?" she asked teasingly.

Javelin: "ALL AHEAD FULL!!" she ordered, "LET'S NOT ALLOW LAFFEY TO BEST ALL OF US!!!"

Ayanami: "Hai!" she said.
