It wasnt long after I closed the door when my dad drove away. Like always, I was greeted by curious gazes. The people I walked by stared after me, a few witches and warlocks sat under a tree preforming magic, it looked like colored smoke that shined and shimmered.

After I went to the Welcome station I had instructions to get a locker and student ID. Big whoop. The campus was huge. There were hiking and cycling trails here too. Not to mention dorms, but obviously I couldnt live in one. Damn werewolf family. I have always wondered how it was to live in a dorm. I shook the thought out of my head. I couldnt have the luxury and I never will thats just facts. A group of what seemed like popular people stood at the one of the many wooden buildings that was scattered around the campus. The bleach blonde one, that was obviously the leader, stared at me in disgust. I was staring back at her completely not paying any attention to the people she was with when someone walked right into me. It made me and the other person fall. I scraped my palm, and my ass took a serious beating, I hissed.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. I didnt see you, a male voice said as I grabbed my papers off of the ground.

How could you not see me? Did I turn invisible as I was clearly walking in the middle of the path? I exclaimed. Ok it might have been the full moon talking, but I still had a point.

Sorry, the guy said gingerly. I looked up glaring and it was a guy about my age. He had jet black hair, pale skin

and nerdy glasses that framed light blue, almost grey eyes. Do you need help? he asked, obviously looking nervous and he had his hand stretched out toward me.

"You're not hurt, are you?" He asked with concern in his voice. Other girls who found nerds hot would have drooled right there. My reaction was a bit different. I stared at his hand frowning.

"Is something wrong?" He asked, I blinked and shook my head. What the hell? I yelled at him and hes apologizing to me? Ok its sort of normal, but usually other people wouldve yelled back.

"Thats good," he let out a sigh of relief. He was still holding out his hand. I took it with my free hand and still frowned at him. He looked at me with curious eyes and his eyes gleamed suddenly, "Wait, youre the new student, right?" He asked.

"Yeah", I replied not with nearly as much enthusiasm he had. Being the new student was never fun.

"Ok now I'm really embarrassed," he shrugged his shoulders. He had a white T-shirt on, dark blue jeans and red sneakers. He didnt look like much, but the small fangs in the perfect smile told me he was a vamp.

"I'm George. Its a pleasure to meet you," He held out his hand to shake mine.

"I'm T-" I cut myself off, "Anna," I said and shook his hand.

"Say, I know how lost newcomers can get. Do you want me to show you around?" He smiled. If I didnt know better, which I didnt looking back at my life choices, I'd say this guy was flirting with me. But I did need a guide.

"Sure, why not," I said after a moment of consideration.
