Two months had gone by since both Asta and Yuno started their training as magic knights in their respected squads. And to be fairly honest, not having to deal with Asta's loudness, things had been really quiet at the church
Maybe a little to quiet for your taste but for Father Orsi and sister Lily, this had been a little vacation for the ears. Not that they minded the grey-haired's energetic personality but it could be a little tiresome
" I hope that little rascal isn't causing to much trouble for the black bulls" you chuckled
Finishing hanging up the laundry, you began to wonder how your second friend was doing. Being a member of the golden dawn, you could only imagine his magic's improvement since his departure from Hage village. That and the fact that he possessed the four leafed clover grimoire that was once used by the first Wizard king himself, only made you believe that once he returned, he will have turned into a fine, powerful magician
Smiling to yourself at the thought, you picked up the basket from the ground and headed to the entrance of the church were you could hear the kids laughing. Wondering what could amuse them, you skipped faster to the front of the building
Having expected to see the children play with Sister Lily, you were taken by surprise when instead of finding the kids goofing around, you saw them standing around a group of strangers and one familiar acquaintance
There, dressed in his usual clothes but with the addition of the golden dawn's signature robe stood your friend Yuno
Shocked at the sight, you unintentionally dropped the empty basket on the ground creating a light thumb. Hearing this noise, the black-haired knight shifted his attention from the excited kids to the woman standing a few feet behind them
Making contact with her E/c eyes, a small smile appeared on his lips. Patting Nash one last time on his head the boy walked passed the children and stopped right in front of the girl " Y/n" he spoke her name in his usual calm voice
" I see you've grown " you smiled " Last time we were about the same height "
" You've always been shorter then me" the boy corrected making the girl puff out her cheeks
Seeing the expression on her face, the new member of the golden dawn extended his hand towards the woman. However before it could reach her, his moment got interrupted by the laughter of the kids coming his way
" Y/n, Yuno are you coming!?" Ariu, the second last smallest child of the church tugged on the woman's skirt " Father said he's prepared a feast to celebrate Yuno's return!"
Chuckling at her enthousiasme you picked up the petit girl " And what exactly might the menu of tonights occasion be?" you asked despite knowing the answer
Eye's glimmering, the child lifted her arms in air and exclaimed with joy " Pop potatos!"
Humming, you glanced back at Yuno " I hope your hungry "
Having eaten anything but the food from his childhood at Hage village, the boy didn't want to admit how he had missed the flavor of the vegetable. All those luxury dishes at the golden dawn hideout were nice but something simple that didn't take ages to prepare sounded appetizing as well
" Sure" he nodded and followed everyone inside the church

" Would you like some more water?" you questioned the woman known as mimosa. Seeing her having a hard time swallowing the pop potato dish, you figured she might need more then one glass
" I-f if you don't mind that would be g-great " she grimaced
" Then I'll be right back" you smiled and headed out to the pit to fill the jar
As you stood outside in the cold night air, the smile that was plastered on your face the entire night didn't falter one minute. Not only did you get to see and chat with a few members of the golden dawn but you also got to see Yuno again
And that was perhaps the thing you were most happy about. Sure he hadn't left Hage village for to long but still...
" You're going to catch a cold if you stay out like this without a coat"
Letting out a hmmff, you glanced over you shoulder and grinned at the person that was filling your mind " Oh please" you tilted your head up with a grin " You know I can just warm myself up with magic"
Watching the sudden appearance of flames around the H/c haired woman, Yuno couldn't help but snicker " Show off"
Taking a few steps forward, the boy took one last glance around the area before finally doing what he wanted to do the minute his golden orbs laid upon his friend
Or rather, his romantic partner
Wrapping his arms around her waist, the young knight brought the woman closer to his body until there was no space left between them. Nuzzling his head in the croak of her neck, the girl couldn't help but giggle as his messy hair tickled her skin
" I'm really happy to see you" she whispered and returned her lovers embrace " Even if it's for a short time"
Pulling away just enough to see her face, the boy smiled lovingly and placed a soft, gentle kiss on her forehead
" So am I"
