38: Heart to Heart

" I know you must be wondering how I'm a mother of two and one on the way" Abigail said as she pulled a chair to seat down, I too pulled a kid's chair and sat down on it, making sure I gave full attention to Abigail.

" Four years ago, after you were considered dead,I found out I was pregnant, I told Kevin who turned to be even happier then I was, we both told our parents and from my side, they were happy but from Kevin's side, Mrs jasmine wasn't, dispute all the drama she cooked up, me and Kevin got married three months before our child was born, Kevin said that he was ready for a family and he was right and still right" she posed for air.

Then she continued, " eight months into our marriage, I received pictures of Kevin and a girl in bed and I must say, they did a good job of photoshopping, because Kevin had told me about it already and I knew that someone wanted my marriage to end, after that I found out I was pregnant again and four months into my pregnancy, Mrs jasmine brought Linda and said that she was Kevin's new wife, the funny thing is that big Daddy Romano refused his wife's madness for the first time in a long time" she posed.

She was about to continue when two maids got in and took the boys away, " good night my little piggies " Abi said as her boys hugged her, smiled at me and left with the maids, " so where was I?. Oh yah!, Long story short, my marriage is still threatened by someone and I won't let my marriage go for any homewrecker" she said as she breathed slowly, " Abi. Why are you still in this marriage if it just stress for you?" I asked as I got up and walked to the window.

There was a long silence then Abi answered " the same reason you are in your marriage with Eddy" as she walked next to me, I turned around and looked at her, was she in a loveless marriage because of money too?, " Whatever you are thinking now is wrong. The reason that you and I are in these loveless marriages is because of love" she said as she walked back to the chair and sat down, " what do you mean by that, if you must know,I hate Edward Romano with all the oxygen in me" I said to her but she smiled at me and let out a soft laughter.

" Who are you lying to?. Wait I will tell you. You are lying to yourself Nora. The truth is you love Edward so much to agree to stay in a marriage with a manipulator and as for me, I love Kevin so much that even when I found out he was spending time with you it didn't bother me, you know why. Because I always care about love, I stayed in a relationship with an abuser yet I still love him, you and I can change our husbands way if dealing with things, we are women and very strong, we can create or destroy, we can stop a battle or start one, we can make two blood brothers enemies or friends, and you want to know how, BECAUSE WE ARE WOMEN, MOTHERS, SISTERS, WIVES" she posed again to breathe.

Abi was telling the truth, I was lost but I still kept my motive, " Nora, I think Abi is right" a voice said from behind, we turned to see Ash, she walked in the room and locked the door behind her, " we are the Romanos daughters-in-law, we are three and if I remember correctly, a triangle is the strongest shape on earth and we make a triangle, my marriage seems to be the most perfect of all, but a coin has two sides and so is my marriage, just like yours, one person wants to end it and if we want to save this family, we need to solve the issues between us, me, Abi and you, once that is over, we need to solve the issues with our husbands" she said as she arrived at the centre of the room.

I was not entertained by the fact that my motives were being questioned by people who did not know how I lived my life for the past few years but again these people were now my sisters, I looked between them and I knew that there was no point in arguing with them, " I will call it a quitte because I don't care about these relationships, my time is short in this family and that why I won't try to fix anything" I said as I opened the door and left the room, I did not understand why I had to worry about people who cared more about themselves then others, once I am done playing house with Edward, I will be out of here for good.

I did not realised that I was already at my bedroom door, I guess my thoughts were on wheels, I got in the bedroom and saw Edward working on his laptop as always, this was my chance to ask what I wanted from him, afterall I will need it in future, I entered the walk-in closet wore my very short night gown and climbed in the bed, I was ready, " Edward." I said, " uhm!?" He replied, " Edward. I want something" I said in a calm voice, Edward stopped what he was doing and stared at me, he looked as if he was thinking of what I was going to ask.

He blinked twice and this gave me the courage to continue, " Edward, I want to start working again, I'm tired of being a trophy wife" I said as I looked at him, this time he did not blink but stared at me, he closed his laptop, stood up, removed his t-shirt and climbed in the bed, he rubbed his forehead and said, " is that what you want?" As he stared at me again, I nodded my head and smiled, there was a long silence without words, all I could hear was his breathing, a heavy breathing.

He said nothing and kept on staring at me, it was his way  of answering to me yet I could not hear what he said, " close your eyes and sleep, we will talk about this tomorrow" he said as he relaxed next to me, I was not sure if I could trust me but he promised to talk tomorrow, I smiled at the thought of my freedom, once you get a job, it divorce and goodbye the Romanos, I layed down next to him and closed my eyes.

My eyes opened and I saw that I was in a tunnel, it was dark and I could not hear, see, smell or touch my way around, suddenly a bright light appeared, took me by my hand and laid me to a stream, flowers, animals and insects overjoyed infront of me then the light left ...
