six hours

39: Ma chérie !!

I opened my eyes and looked around, I was in my bedroom, Edward was gone as always, breakfast was on the coffee table and the weather was even more cooler than the day before, I wonder how Edward sleeps without a shirt on.

I jumped out of the bed and quickly took a shower, dressed and ate my breakfast, then I left the room, for the first time in years, the Romanos family mansion was full of life, with all kinds of activities, it was really lively, then my phone buzzed snapping me from my lalaland,

Edward: come outside, at the parking lot asap.

Typical Edward, always giving orders, I walked through the long hall and saw Mrs Renee shouting at someone but it did not bother me, I walked faster and arrived at the parking lot, where Edward, Cris and Ash were waiting, " ok. She is here, let go" Ash said as she climbed in the car, I followed her but Edward gestured me to seat next to him by the front seat, I said nothing and just followed, I will let him get use to this power then I will crush it for him.

" Where are we going?" I asked, " my dear sister-in-law, you will soon see" Cris replied as him and Ash grinned from ear to ear like kids who just kidnapped Santa Claus on Christmas, it was obvious that something was going on and no one wanted to tell me, Edward was even worse because I felt like talking to him was same as talking to a wall, I decided to sleep and hopped that they were not going to sell me to some mafia king.

" WE ARE HERE!!!!" ash's voice woke me up, I looked up to see that we were somewhere special, tears filled my eyes, I opened the door of the car and jumped out, I was wrapped with happiness and joy, adrenaline rushed in my body, making me run toward the house in sight, as I got near the house my legs increased their speed, I opened the door and got inside the house, there, straight in front of me was the familiar kitchen, filled with the smell of freshly baked bread and home made jam.

There, just as my ears could hear the soft tune I swear by all 4 one, and the backed chicken pie resting on the dinning table, I walked in the house and felt at peace, I remembered my dream and how I felt, the same feeling is back, " Nora?!?. Is that you??" A voice said as the body followed, I stared at the figure in front of me and tears rolled down my face, " Tante Marie !!" I said, " Ma Chérie !!!!, It is really you" she said as she ran to me with tears in her eyes.

Tante Marie hugged me tightly like there was no tomorrow, like she did not want to leave her, emotions filled the room and Ash got in as she joined our hug," I'm happy to see you, you look different but good, where have you been?. How did you come back?. Where do you live now?. And-" " Maman!, She is here now, you will ask later, now let us continue with the introductions, our husbands are outside" Ash said as she stopped tante Marie's questions.

Tante Marie's eyes opened widely, " wait, both of you are married!!" She said as she ran around the house like a kid who tested sugar for the first time, the happiness on her face was priceless and she got even more happier when she saw the twins appearing at the door, she winked at Ash and I and went to hug the twins, then she called the maids and instructed them to prepare rooms, to my chock, two overnight bags come in with one of the maids, I knew what was going on now.

" So dinner will be ready in half an hour, I want you guys to freshen up and rest." Tante Marie said, " Nora, I want to talk to you, come with me" she said again as she left for the kitchen, I followed her and I noticed how beautiful she had because, her hair was at a shoulder length, she gained weight at the right places and she had a glow, no more the slender women I knew, she was even more perfect, " are you dating anyone?" I asked, " yes. But if I can ask, are in love with anyone?" She said as she looked at me.

" Meaning?" I asked, she turned around and added salt to the stew, " you are now married, stop making foolish decisions and take control as a wife because that what you will be till your death" she said, I was starting to see clear, last night, Ash and Abi told me something like this and today, Tante Marie is telling me to change, " I-" " it doesn't matter whether you had a big wedding or a signed certificate, what matters is that you are married, a woman holds the power to create or destroy,you alone holds the power, I can see how the bond between you and Eddy is, don't wait up until it too late, decide and talk to him" she said as she added water to the stew.

I looked at her, and realised that she said something unique, no one knows how Edward and I got married but she, she knew something I did not, " the dreams you keep on having are showing you what you don't know" she said as she left the kitchen without me saying a word, my mind was heavy, I directed my body to the garden, even though it was cold and I had no blanket or jacket, I did not feel cold, until I felt something against my body, was quickly looked at it and I could not believe it, "FOXY!!" I said.

It was really her, my heart was finally completed, I hugged my baby and I knew she missed me too, " I see you two have reconnected" Tante Marie said as she stood by the door, " come on, it cold here, let get you both inside" she said again, without noticing, dinner was already prepared and everyone were waiting for me, I sat down next to Edward and everything seemed fine, but Abigail and Tante Marie's words could still be heard in my ears, I was confused before but now, after seeing my Corgi, my foxy, everything made sense.

Right after dinner, the boys left to play chess while the ladies stayed in the kitchen to clean up, no one spoke, only the sound of plates could be heard, soon, the work was done and we all hugged each other goodnight and each went to our rooms.

As I got to my room, I entered it and noticed that Edward was in the shower, I could hear the sound of water in the bathroom, I also took my time to look around, my room looked different, the colour was different, it was not a room belonging to a twenty years old single girl but it belonged to a married woman, there was more space and I could not help to smile after smelling Edward's body cream in the room.

Five minutes later, Edward was out of the shower and I went in, the bathroom was cold, even though it was winter, my Iron Man of husband preferred to take a cold shower, after all, my hubby was a real man, strong and bold to have a cold shower when the weather is nine degrees outside.

When I finish bathing, I realised that something was wrong and I needed to talk to Edward urgently...
