Chapter 9: The angel's true colors

Katagiri POV

It's currently evening, and I decided to take a little walk. This really is refreshing. Despite the hell that I've once endured in my past. Seeing myself in a new school where there I felt a sense of freedom that I haven't felt in years. The shackles of my past gone, and I want to enjoy a normal school life once again. With new friends that I can trust fully and of course new enemies that would make it interesting. I smiled at the thought of that, never thought that I'd even call myself "elite" since I'm nowhere as smart as Kei or Ayanokouji, or as physically gifted as Kururugi or Karma. But in the end, I'm glad I met people like them in school. 

While Karma and I were doing our own business earlier morning, Ayanokouji told us that he managed to prevent Sudo from getting expelled and he said to that girl Horikita to tell that to Class D that she saved Sudo instead of him. Why would he do that? it's weird that he wants to give the credit to someone else even though he's the one who saved him. Maybe he did that because he doesn't want Class D to know that another class helped them? I have no idea, to be honest. Ayanokouji himself is a mystery, I can't even read him even though I can see through people easily. But I guess he's an exception I suppose. 

"Hmm?" While I was walking, I saw a girl all by herself walking.  

'Wait isn't that.....Kushida?' I thought to myself. What's she doing out here in the middle of the night? Curious, I followed to her direction.  

After following her, she stopped. This is a bit suspicious, but I decided to hide for now and to use my phone to secretly put it on audio recording in case if any information is brought up and make use of in the future. 

"What a pain"  

"You think you're so great just because you helped that pathetic boy? 

"I hate you! I really f***ing hate you! you stupid girl!" 

Why is she angry? I wonder what's gotten into her. She's venting her frustration by kicking the steel barrier and cussing about someone. 

"Why don't you just die Horikita!! Just die and go to hell you b***h!!" 

Looks like I was right to be suspicious of her, this isn't the usual Kushida that I've met and heard before. I knew someone this nice has something to hide but the question is why is she mad at Horikita in particular? I grinned knowing that this is now my target. I came out from my hiding spot and decided to greet her. 

"Good evening, Kushida" 

"huh?" she looked at me, I can tell she is a bit displeased by my appearance. 

 "You're Katagiri Yuuichi-kun right? did you hear all that?" she said with a completely different tone. This girl definitely is different from her other self. 

"I was just walking by that's all" I lied obviously 

Then she came closer to me and glared at me with her cold eyes. 

"If you tell anyone, then I won't go easy on you" she said 

"Is that so then what if I did?" I said in a blank tone.  

"Then I'll tell everyone that you raped me" this girl is seriously messed up. Trying to frame me, are we? sorry Kushida but that's not going to work on me. 

"Resorting to blackmail? you think a false accusation is going to get me in trouble?" as I said it, Kushida suddenly puts my hand on her breast and forced it on to her. This is getting disturbing but just how foolish is this girl exactly 

"It's not false when the proof is right here. Your fingerprints are right there" she said while still forcing my hand on to her breast. 

"What an idiot you are Kushida" 

"eh?" 

"Let me ask you something, you think that those fingerprints are even going to last long?" 

"What are you talking about?" 

"hehe, you may not be aware of it, but even if you did that. You think you can frame me?" 

"Of course, I can!"

"Kushida, I don't think you understand" 

"but..." 

"You fell for my trap" as I said it, she now has a look of confusion. 

"I knew you were hiding something; you think someone like you can get away with something like this"  

"Huh?! what do you mean?!" she asked, my grin became big enough that suddenly Kushida got a bit nervous. I took out my phone while at the same time pushed the button to save and stop the audio recording and told her: 

"I recorded everything, so you see Kushida. Even with your fake evidence, I can just simply use this real evidence to show everyone your true colors" her eyes suddenly widen in fear knowing that she is going to get exposed as the phony she is. It is quite satisfying to see someone like her suddenly see her sudden demise before her eyes. 

"Y-y-you, you can't!!" she yelled 

"Ohh yes I can, if you keep quiet, I won't leak this to the school. However, if you try to threaten me again. I can simply just expel you in an instant." she was shaking in fear knowing that I exposed her so easily. It's impossible for her to hide behind that mask of hers now. 

"Please!! don't show everyone this recording, I'll do anything" she said and once more I grinned. 

"Anything you say?" 

"yes yes! just please don't do it" she almost started crying, I almost felt bad for her...almost. 

 "Well then I'll keep it simple then, if I ever need any sort of information from Class D. I need you to report it to me or Ayanokouji" 

"huh? Ayanokouji-kun?" 

"He may not know your true nature yet, but I think you can be as helpful to him as you are to me. So, what do you say?" I asked but seeing her face Kushida went from fear to frustration. 

"Give me that!" she shouted as she tried to snatch my phone, but I pulled it away to my pocket while at the same time grabbing her wrist. 

"Kushida, just do as I say or I might just make your entire life here in school a miserable hellhole." she's clearly getting angry again but couldn't protest. 

"tch! fine I'll keep quiet but you think something like this is going to stop me?" she asked but I already have the upperhand in this situation. Kushida won't be able to do anything. 

"I'm not interested in playing your games but making you suffer is already enough for me. So try your best to make sure you fall in line like the rest and we won't have a problem" 

She nodded and just simply walked away. I pulled out my phone and called Ayanokouji. 

"Hello" he said 

"I have something to send you" 

That's the end of this chapter. I really enjoyed writing this one. Yuuichi simply manipulating Kushida like it was nothing was definitely fun. Can't wait for how this is going to develop. What do you think? Also, yes I used Yuuichi for this scene instead of Ayanokouji.
