Aru POV
It was already the 2nd day of the exam since nothing much happened on the 1st day. We managed to get either 1st or 2nd in all of the tasks we participated. To be honest it just feels quiet. Too quiet since those 1st years haven't made their move yet. Strange, but there's also a good reason for it since they don't exactly know our location so we should at least take advantage of that although we are keeping our guard up since they could be after us without us knowing it.
Hopefully the rest of Class S can deal with them since I don't think we can handle being surrounded if they start ganging up on us.
"Hey!"
"Hmm? what is it Kazuto?" I asked
"Want some berries guys? I just picked up a few before we left" he said
"Are you sure they're not poisonous?" Asuna asked
"Don't worry, I did a taste test these before grabbing some" he explained
"At least we won't worry about wasting our food supply" I said
We continue to walk around since our destination is a bit further from here so this might take a while.
"Hey, Aru-kun" Asuna suddenly spoke
"What is it?" I asked
"You know, we've been classmates for about a year now and yet your as mysterious as the likes of Kiyotaka-kun and Ryuzaki-kun" she said
"Really?"
"Yeah, all we know about you is the fact that you're extremely intelligent and you want to be a detective in the future like Light-san" Kazuto said
"Is that so? well, I haven't talked much about my past, haven't I?"
"Yeah, I mean we should all get to know each other a bit more. It wouldn't be fun if we don't know too much about you" Asuna said
"Yeah, I mean what was your previous school like or what was your childhood like?" Kazuto added
"To be honest, I just lived a normal life like everyone else and you could say that I'm just naturally intelligent. I have parents and stuff, there's nothing really too special about me other than just being extremely smarter than the average high schooler" I replied
"What about you two? you guys don't look much like the smart people type and somehow you two managed to make it to Class S" I said looking at the two
"Well, you see we managed to get to this class because we kinda got lucky I guess" Kazuto said
"Lucky?"
"Yeah, I mean the two of us were expecting to be in Class D or Class C or something when we came here but I guess with the amount of studying we did together really pay off like big time" Asuna said
"Well, that explains why you two have pretty much average grades until we started tutoring you two" I said
"You're right, I guess all that studying with a class full of geniuses really helped us both" Kazuto said
"Another thing"
"Hmm?"
"Since you asked me about my past, what about you two? anything about yourselves before you arrived at this institution? How did you two met?" I asked
I noticed that the two were looking at each other while being a be hesitant of their answer. I know that they're dating but what came before that I wonder?
"Well, it's kinda complicated since we both met in an online game" Kazuto said
"Online game?"
"That's right, we both started out there and we just hung out ever since"
