September 11, 2020.
This week at work has been going incredibly slow, so needless to say I'm ready for the weekend.
My tire busted on the way to set Wednesday, so I've been having to drive Harry's Range Rover until it's fixed.
On top of that, I got a call this morning saying Ivy's preschool was closing for the day because too many of the teachers were sick, including Ivy's.
Drew has work, Mila is busy traveling with her boyfriend and his family, and my mom is across the country. So I have no one to watch Ivy.
"Can we play pretty pretty princess mama?" Ivy asks innocently as I stand at the kitchen counter trying to come up with a plan.
I can't miss work. Audrey won't be there today, So I'm the only other director on call.
"Not right now baby." I sigh, running a hand through my hair. I really don't trust a random person to watch my child, so a nanny for the day is out of the picture as well.
The only other option I have is bringing her on set with me for the day. I'll just have to leave early so that Ivy gets to bed at a decent time.
I send Florence a quick message, letting her know I'd have a little guest with me when I arrived, to which she replied "Can't wait!"
"Can you grab a bag and pack a few of your toys in it for me please?" I ask Ivy softly, she looks up at me confused.
"But mama I don't have schools today." Ivy furrows her brows, a hand on her hip.
"I know bunny. But mama has to go to work, so you have to come with me." I explain, and Ivy nods lightly running off to her toy bin to pack some toys.
I'm hoping Gemma or Chris won't have a lot of scenes today and they can help me keep an eye on her since I'll be behind the camera most of the time.
Once Ivy gets a bag packed, I get her loaded in Harry's car before making the drive to set.
Ivy asks for Harry's Adore song, so I put that on to keep her happy and quiet while I drive.
Everyday this week, Ivy has asked for his song to be played on the drive to preschool, so naturally, it's being played in the drive to set.
I pull into my parking spot beside Harry's, shutting off the car before getting out and helping Ivy out of her booster seat.
"There's big trucks." Ivy whispers in my ear as I lean over to unbuckle her seat belt.
