Nick and Charlie meet on a dating app.
~Charlie's POV~
I was scared to get back out there and find someone. Yet with the help of my friends Elle, Tobie, and Tao. They helped me get on a dating app for lgbtq+ people.
No not Grindr.
Charlie Spring 🍂
Age: 16
Pronoun: He / him
Sexuality: Gay Panic
Likes: Playing drums, reading, doodling, and maybe you?
Dislikes: Anyone who hates on someone for being different.
@ / GayDrummerI cringed at the photo shoot my friends made me take pictures for. I scrolled at the different ones as I tried finding the four perfect ones. One I was laying on a blanket pointing to a star. The other one I was playing the drums in my room. The other two were me with my friends and Tao edited a circle on my face.
"So the guy knows it's you. I been on to many dating apps when I see groups and I can't tell which girl I'm talking to."
I saw Elle frown at that but didn't say anything about it.~Nick's POV~
After rugby practice I was showering thinking about the app that a player was talking about during the game. It distracted us during the game and Coach Singh didn't approve of us talking about dating during the game. At the end she told us.
"Why can't you youngsters just meet the normal way?"
Harry one of our players spoke.
"Because that is old fashion coach."
He said rolling his eyes some guys agreed but I was curious about doing it that way. Yet it never worked out for me. Since I was fifteen I knew I was bisexual. So how could I find a girl who wanted to be with me if I liked guys too? Or what guy would be okay with me liking girls too? All the videos online said it's like a needle in a haystack. They think I want to be a unicorn or someones unicorn. No hate to that but personally I just want that one person .. not two persons at the same time. After getting out of the shower and dressed I used same towel to dry my hair. Sitting on bleachers I put my shoes on before throwing towel in hamper. Getting my duffel bag to take home I walked outside and sat on bleachers. I didn't drive yet so had to wait for my mom to pick me up.
Taking deep breathe I downloaded the app called Out. I almost deleted it once it downloaded but instead clicked into it. Setting it up I sighed feeling nervous.
Nick Nelson 🍂
Age: 17
Pronoun: He / him
Sexuality: Bisexual
Likes: Rugby, my dog Nellie, exploring nature and practicing my French.
Dislikes: Cats sorry dog dad 100%.
@ / RugbyLadThen the next hard part what pictures do you use? Finding a selfie I had with Nellie was the first two. The third I did when I was covered in mud from playing rugby. The last photo was me now sitting on the bench with the autumn tree behind me. Wasn't the best but it was the most recent I had on my camera roll. In all honesty I should've made Nellie a profile she was in my camera roll more.
I was about to scroll on the feed until I heard a honk. Looking up I saw my mom with smile I put my phone away to go to her car.
~Third Person POV~
That night both boys were in their beds and on their phone. As the game of swiping began. Charlie didn't have a type but wasn't picky as he swiped on the different guys in his age and location rage. When he saw the blonde hair boy by the username RugbyLad he stopped to stare at the photos more closely then the other photos he swiped on.
Nick may of have double the picks as he swiped some girls and some guys. Occasionally he still got couple accounts with the unicorn emoji front and center. Nick wasn't picky with his type but knew he wanted only one person in his life. He didn't care if it was a girl or a guy as long as they were one person and liked him for him. When he came across the photos of GayDrummer he stopped to stare.
