Chapter 4 Part 2

" Who are you? and what are your reasons for coming here?", one of the guards asked Amyra. " I am a traveler who was getting hungry and decided to take a stop here", Amyra answered telling the truth. He then looked at Amyra suspiciously and led her to a glowing ball and said, " Put your hand on this". Amyra immediately did so causing the orb to turn green and then yellow. The guards looked shocked upon seeing this. " Greetings miss cultivator! I am sorry for the inconvenience", he exclaimed nervously as he gave me some kind of token to enter the city.

'Well that wasn't so hard', I thought as I took the token out of his hands. " This will give you an indefinite amount of time to explore and enjoy the city while you're here, as an apology for not recognizing you earlier", he said looking more nervously towards me awaiting my response. " It's ok. No harm done", I replied smiling at them afterward making my way through the gates into the city, merrily happy nothing major happened.

" A level 20 cultivator! And such a young one at that! She must have some connections, we shouldn't mess with her!", one of the guards whispered to the other. " Yes, I agree. She is a genius! Level 20 at...She looks 16 years of age, could be younger", the other replied. Both began to sweat drop as they saw her skipping merrily into town.

Stalls of all kinds surrounded me on the streets going into the capital, selling foods, jewelry, and a few cultivation materials. 'I guess the population of cultivators is low here', I thought as I looked around. I only saw 1 or two persons who had Sp( source power- what cultivators use to practice their arys) using my clairvoyance skill. I stopped outside an interesting-looking inn, that attracted my stomach making it grumble from the smell coming from it. 'Phoenix' Inn '. 'Huh'. ' Must be a popular place with all the people I am hearing clattering inside'. 'Skill: Super hearing Lv 1 Created', the system announced as Amyra ignored it and entered the inn.

After entering I noticed that all the tables were full. " How may I help you, miss", a waitress there said as she came up to me from the tables where she was serving food. " Do you have space for another to dine?", I asked, as I looked around at all the taken tables. " No, we no longer have any tables on this floor. But the second floor has a vacant place, although it is more expensive... You can dine there privately free of any noise and it's also a good place to cultivate". "Then I will have that one then", I answered. " Are you sure? Do you have any limits to allowance? Because it is quite expensive", She answered in an almost worried but excited tone; happy to have a rich customer but sad and worried that I couldn't afford it and left. " Is this enough?", I asked as I gave her a bag filled with gold coins I traded for monster parts at a local cultivator shop, when I entered the town, knowing I had no money. " This..This is too much. It's only 100 gold for a reservation", she said shocked as she took what she needed from the bag and gave it back to me as she left running.

'hmm', I thought, 'I may have underestimated the value of gold coins. I thought they were common as I saw them frequently exchanged in the market I passed on my way here'. 'Oh well. I guess I have to be more careful', Amyra thought but she didn't know that the place she passed was a rich person's market area just for the rich to squander. The waitress made her way back to me and apologized and led me up the stairs to the second floor to a room.

" Here is your room. The menu is on the table. Ring the bell if you need anything and the waitress would come to you", she said politely, pointing to the bell on the table. "Thank you", I replied as I headed further into the room exploring every corner of it. " It's huge!", I exclaimed looking around. I began to feel a difference in Sp. " She was right, it is a good place to cultivate", I said, " But my dimension in the forest has thicker Sp".

I sat down by the table and picked up the menu, after looking at it for a while I rang the bell and the waitress came soon after. I told her what I wanted and she left to prepare it after pouring me a glass of water. I got my food 10 minutes later. It tasted amazing. ' Although I just picked and chose a few because I wasn't familiar with the world's cuisine, all ended up tasting so good!'

The maids left the rooms with smiles on their faces seeing that the important customer liked the food, unknown to Amyra as she was busy enjoying her food. When Amyra was finished, she left a tip on the table and left the restaurant to explore more of the town. The maids who came in after to see that she already left and left a huge tip on the table were surprised and immediately ran to inform their boss/manager.

'Who leaves a bag of gold coins as a tip?!', the manager thought, 'She must have a huge background! I should treat her properly as an honored guest when I see her next!', the manager thought with a shocked and happy expression on his face hoping to see that 'important' customer again.
