Not All Humans

PROLOUGE

The young girl slept in her bed — which was quite old — not knowing what was outside her window. She turned to the side as humans do in their sleep as the figure seemed to stalk outside.

The figure — now revealed as a tall one — came out of the darkness and into the young girl's room. They had been waiting for the human to come home and fall asleep.
Swiftly and quietly, the figure gently scooped her up into their arms. They looked around to see if anyone was there and was greeted with silence. Golden eyes looked down at the girl, and the figure sent her into a more profound slumber than before. The figure had to resist biting the girl's neck.

They could wait until they were back home. Surely.

The figure jumped out the window with the girl in their arms and began heading back to their place. They began to feel more hungry as minutes passed by and had to really resist the urge to bite her.

Soon enough, they got back to their place. They warily look around to see if there is anyone around, but there is no one. They carried the human to their basement, flicking their wrist to open the door, and the basement had a human-sized table with a lamp over it. The table had restraints too, and it could be adjusted. They laid the human on the table, swiftly restraining her limbs. They kept the light off, seeing as it was bright, and stepped back. They sat in a wooden chair in the corner, waiting for the human to wake up. Bitter feelings filled the figure as they watched the human sleep. They lock the door just in case.

The vampire makes sure the human is in good health; the human is. 'Good. I finally got one that isn't too unhealthy.' They think to themself. Their lips curl up into a smile, knowing this one would be a good one.

They begin to think about what they'll do when the human wakes up. Obviously, the girl will be afraid; but the vampire is sure they can handle it. They've done this plenty of times. But this one... she seemed different. The vampire shrugged. Just means this one will be more interesting.
Interesting. Yeah. That's the word.

The vampire stares as the human sleeps, wondering how she can sleep through being captured. The girl must be a heavy sleeper.

Well, nonetheless, all they have to do now is wait for the girl to wake up. Then they can get to business.

..And soon enough, the human girl actually wakes up.
