Soon enough, it's morning. Mylis wakes up and stretches, only wincing softly at the pain in her arm. She slowly opens her eyes to see Xena.. sleeping? Mylis wanted to laugh at the irony, seeing as Xena said she only needed an hour. She stares with amusement.

Mylis gets out of the chair and stretches. She then grabs a book and sits right back down to read it.

Meanwhile, Xena eventually comes to her senses and slowly wakes up. She had slept an incredibly long time. For a vampire, at least. How long had it been? Two hours? Three hours? It seemed, judging by the faint light coming through the doorway, that it had been something like that. Double what Xena was used to. It was like a human sleeping an entire day to her. Xena blinks lazily, much more alert and aware of her surroundings than humans are when they wake up. She notices with mild surprise that Mylis is already awake. Xena yawns for a long moment, propping herself up on one arm. Her jaw snaps shut with a faint click, and a low, lazy sound rumbles from her throat. It's not a sound of displeasure, but one of grogginess and contentment. She watches Mylis read for a moment, then speaks.

"Mmm. Good morning." A small smile curves her lips, glad to see that Mylis seems to enjoy the books she had brought. She rises to her feet slowly and wanders over to stand behind Mylis' chair, leaning over the back to peer over her shoulder. She reads the book along with Mylis. Simply out of curiosity.
"Morning, Xena. I guess you like reading as much as I do?" Mylis laughs warmly, looking up at her, "I can tell you're not used to that much sleep. That's funny." She laughs at Xena's grogginess.

"Oh, yeah? Usually, I don't get worn out like that. I really sleep very little naturally. Mostly read while you slept, honestly. So indeed, I love to read. Got through two books." She glances at Mylis, her smile fading a bit as she shrugs, "Honestly, I just preoccupy myself with books, art, and games here in the house. I only go out when necessary, unless I'm going for a walk in the forest." Xena's smile returns, and she expects the human's arm to check on her condition carefully.

Mylis blinks, then looks back at her book. Mylis reads until she finds a stopping point, places a bookmark in it, and closes the book.
"..Whatcha wanna do?" Mylis asks out of curiosity, "I'm not sure what vampires like to do, so.. and I gotcha. Yeah, reading is pretty cool. Drawing is also a hobby of mine. A walk in the forest also seems interesting."
Xena blinks, mildly surprised that the girl likes to draw. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so surprised. Although, she smiles a bit later on at the comment on the walking.
"Do you not go for walks much? In nature, away from others, is the place I don't have to.. hide." Xena says.
"Well, I wasn't ever allowed.. but it's fine." Mylis sighs.

Xena then rests her head on her arms, definitely not used to this much sleep. She then glances into Mylis' eyes, "I'm happy to do whatever you want to.. do you want any food? Do you feel alright, at least?"
"My arm still hurts, but it's alright. It's getting better." Mylis says calmly, signing, "And no thanks, I'm not hungry right now. I feel fine, at least. Or.. decent, yeah. That's the word I'm looking for."

"Just let me know if you're hungry. I'm sorry your arm hurts still.." Xena grimaces and sighs, "Still have to do that though. At least it shouldn't be much longer. Then I can heal it properly. I want to say we should work on the pain tolerance more because it speeds up the process the more you endure it.. but I want you to have a break for a while. That arm of yours will do a lot of the work for us. Constant pain works best, after all." She smiles a bit, then backs up a step, "Once you're more tolerant, we won't have to worry about that anymore. Which would be great. I don't really like how it hurts you, even if I can't really help it." She pauses, then speaks again, "Anyway! Whatcha wanna do? I'm curious as to what you do with your free time."

"I don't really do anything besides reading and drawing, as that's all I could really do. Of course, my siblings got to play games.. buuut... I never was allowed to do so. Heh." Mylis replies, sighing.
