...she has to turn Mylis into a vampire like herself.

Xena loathes this idea so, so very much. Yet she knows she did it to herself with her actions.

But she does know that she has to be quick. Very quick, if she wants the other girl to live. So she looms over the girl, a few tears rolling down her face. She mutters, "I-I'm sorry..."

She then bites down very hard on Mylis' neck. She tightens her jaws as hard as she can and lets the vampire poison flow into the girl's veins. Xena grips Mylis as she does this, and then begins to drain Mylis of her blood - which is part of the process.

Xena continues this and breathes heavily, not used to taking this much at once from another... being. That isn't an animal, for that matter.

This takes a while - around fifteen minutes. Eventually, Xena is done and she withdraws, moving back as well. She then waits patiently. Xena unties Mylis from the table, letting her lay there without any restraints. Xena knows Mylis will be furious with her - but also hungry for blood. Yes, vampires do have blood, and it's more potent than human blood. But Xena has never once taken from a vampire, let alone had her own blood taken by anyone for that matter.

Eventually, after a few hours, Mylis finally regains consciousness. She's confused. Mylis remembers having a dagger sink deep into her chest, but... the wounds are gone? Not to mention she feels weird. But she can't describe the feeling. She feels off, so very off. Mylis slowly turns her head around and sees Xena in the room, leaning back in a chair and sleeping. Mylis sighs. Had it just been a dream? But then again, wouldn't she not be in the basement?

Mylis has a ton of questions, and right when she opens her mouth to get Xena's attention, she feels something... sharp. Alarmed, she moves her hand up to her mouth and feels... fangs? Her eyes widen. That explains the weird feeling...

...Mylis is a vampire, and the girl has finally realized. Her own hunger for blood also becomes evident. She begins to feel intense rage and fear - and without thinking - actually screeches as she gets up and runs out of the basement. Obviously, this wakes up Xena who is alarmed by the noise and looks up to see Mylis running out.

"MYLIS! Wait-!" Xena starts.

"DON'T TALK TO ME...!" Mylis yells, running upstairs and into the bedroom. She slams the door and locks it. She also then barricades it with whatever she can find in the room.

Xena shortly arrives upstairs after but is too late as she finds the door barricaded and locked.

"Mylis..." She murmurs from outside, saddened. She knows it's her fault, but she also knows Mylis is likely extremely hungry for blood, "You need to come out..."

"N-No! You can't make me!" Mylis yells back, her voice shaking with fear, anger, and sadness mixed within.

Xena sighs, ultimately deciding to give the other girl some space. She turns away and heads to the living room.

- 48 HOURS LATER -

It had been forty-eight hours - or more specifically, two days. For two days Mylis stayed locked up in that room and oddly quiet. At first, there was loud crying for hours, but then there was dead silence. Xena figured she had worn herself out and decided to wait - but now it had been far too long. She had to force herself in there even if she didn't like the thought of doing so.

Xena bangs on the door, but to no avail. She then uses force to break through the door itself and unlocks it. Lucky for her, the door opens outside rather than inside. She opens it and kicks the items away. Xena looks in the room to see Mylis completely out of it, sitting on the ground against the wall, head leaned back against it. Mylis looks miserable and in pain, evident by the small pained noises she makes ever so often.

Xena rushes over to her, crouching in front and gripping her face. Mylis weakly opens her eyes, and flinches a bit at the sight of Xena - but she can't move away, she's too weak.

Xena then speaks, "Mylis, I know you hate me, and I know you don't want to... but you need to drink. Please."

Myllis opens her mouth to protest, but only a small wince comes out. She softly sighs, and weakly speaks, "F-Fine, but... h-how...?"

Xena's expression softens, "Lean forward and put your fangs on my neck. You will then need to bite down on the skin like you would regular food. It's... as easy as that." She softly smiles.

Mylis slightly nods and slowly leans forward. Her fangs hover over Xena's neck. Xena sucks in a breath, not knowing how it's going to feel. Mylis then suddenly bites down and quickly figures out how to take blood. Xena winces a tad loudly but holds the girl close. Mylis continues to take blood for a while and makes a bit of a mess.

Eventually, she does stop and withdraws from Xena. She wipes her mouth and sighs, "T-Thanks, I... didn't realize how bad it'd get."

"Now that that is settled, I can be at ease knowing you're okay..." Xena sadly says and moves away.

"I may be angry with you, but... you did just save me. Twice, honestly. It'll take a bit of time to get back to 'normal', but I'm sure we can get there."

"Right, of course. It'll take time, but I won't push you. I'm not going to beg and plead for forgiveness knowing it's not going to come easy. But I'll do everything I can to make it up to you. We're both vampires now, so there's... no going back to that old life of yours. Once you're a vampire, you're a vampire." Xena says, sighing.

"I know that. I'm not fond of it, but I guess I'd rather live than die." Mylis shrugs, looking down.

There is still some tension between the two, but it feels bittersweet now. At least now, they will finally be okay - and happy.
