Not All Humans

CHAPTER 10

It has been five years since that incident, now.

By now, the two girls are closer than they were before. They trust each other immensely and are much happier. Mylis has recovered from the incident and also from her past with her abusive family. (Who, not surprisingly, never tried to look for her. But she didn't seem to care all that much.)

Now a new problem arose.

Romantic tension.

Neither of them claimed to be anything but straight but also had a feeling they weren't. Xena had known she was likely a lesbian for a while, but Mylis doesn't know what she is.

You would think that after all that had happened, they wouldn't dare grow feelings for each other. Xena had kidnapped Mylis in the first place for her own gain. Mylis knew it was almost wrong to love her captor, but at the same time, Mylis was free to walk out at any point she wanted. Xena wouldn't stop her. (She felt so guilty she said herself she'd let Mylis leave if she wanted.) Another thing; Mylis didn't think of Xena as a captor at this point. She thought of her as a friend. A close one. Maybe even more than a friend.

So to them both, it felt justified. But both were too shy to actually admit anything of course. This obviously stems from the past - which, yes, they claimed to have let go.

On a fateful day, Xena decides to admit her feelings. But she's not sure how. She paces around in the living room thinking. Mylis comes out of her room, yawning from napping, and looks at the other girl with pure confusion.

"What are you... doing...?" Mylis asks tiredly, walking over to Xena.

Xena pauses and looks at her, "I'm just... thinking is all."

"About what?" Mylis tilts her head.

Xena then feels something never felt before, and makes a low noise. She walks over to Mylis, looking down at her. Mylis is wide-eyed now and goes a bit red. She doesn't back away though.

However, Xena decides to back Mylis up against a wall, and presses her body against Mylis'. Mylis makes a small whimper noise, going even redder and looking away.

"You know what I'm thinking about, don't you Mylis?" Xena lowly asks. Mylis does but decides to toy with her.

"N-No, I don't..." Mylis murmurs.

"Then I guess I'll have to show you. But for the record, is this okay??"

"Y-Yes... it's okay." Mylis says and nods.

Xena takes that as consent (and it is) and decides to grip Mylis' face so they're facing each other. Xena then doesn't hesitate and leans in, kissing Mylis firmly on the lips. Mylis whimpers a bit again but firmly kisses Xena back. They both - subconsciously - bite each other's lips with their fangs. Xena grips Mylis' sides and holds her firmly, while Mylis moves her arms up to around Xena's shoulders and neck. Her hands grip Xena's hair.

They kiss for a while - and it's very fangy and bitey. This is inevitable, considering they're both vampires.

Then they pull away, breathing heavily. Mylis' lips are slightly bleeding. Before she can say anything, Xena leans back in and sucks on her lip. This time - unlike before - Mylis doesn't flinch or pull away. Xena gets the blood off and then pulls away for real this time, licking her lips.

"Uhm.. does... does this make us a thing now...?" Mylis asks, a bit flustered.

"I suppose it does. We're girlfriends now. Gay ones, at that!" Xena laughs.

Mylis also laughs, finding it pretty amusing.

When Xena isn't looking though, Mylis reaches up and kisses Xena's neck a bit. Xena makes some soft noises. Mylis then pulls away, giggling.

"We'll continue that later, darling." Xena says, grinning.

"Yep! We will!" Mylis says happily.

Finally, the two girls have admitted their feelings. Now there's no tension of any sort. They can actually be happy now.

Oh, and what they decided to do later on... well, that's really better left unsaid.
