The drastic difference between the gold rim of the portal and the dark world of Nightmare's castle was drastic enough to make Error's eye sockets grow wide.
The destroyer of worlds walked up to the portal carefully. "Brilliant.." He whispered as he reached a hand through the portal. It most definitely worked.
Error turned and looked at Ink. "Ready?"

Ink nodded with a determined smile, putting broomy on his back and jumping through confidently.
Dream gave a small 'heh' at Ink's behavior. Even when someone was in danger, Ink was still so childish and sweet. Dream closed his eyes and looked to Error, opening them up again at the glitch, his golden eye lights cutting through the white light like a gold rim on a white dress.
Dream felt that Error was more happy than his usual grumpy self. It was probably just his positivity aura.
Error narrowed his eyes at idiot #2, "Why are you looking at me like that-?" He inquired to the other skeleton, his grumpiness coming back full force.
Dream smiled patiently, "I'm waiting for you to enter the portal-" Dream said awkwardly as he brought his hands together, clasping them around each other like it was a prayer, one of his few habits.

"Oh right." Error said, quickly stepping through before Dream followed him into the scary universe. "I would say it's nice to be back here, but I would be lying." He muttered under his breath as he stared at the castle in front of him.
Ink looked up in a awe, he twirled on the dark teal grass and smiled at Error happily, his eyes stars. "The stars are so pretty here! Ah, I love this place!" Ink spoke cheerfully as he turned around to face the castle. The clouds seemed to have cleared up from the sky since the last time Ink was here.
Dream took the crown back, it shrinking to fit his head, "Shhh! We need to stay quiet!" Dream whisper yelled at Ink, a finger to his mouth.
Ink didn't apologize but hid in the bushes, Dream following shortly behind. "Now, where to break in....." Ink whispered, curiosity peaking his tone as he looked at the castle, rubbing his chin like a superhero villain.
Error slapped ink lightly on the back to get him to shut up as he joined them in the bushes. "I don't know where we could. Is there anyway into the prison that Masky can see?" He asked the voices slowly, keeping his voice hushed.

masky, waht do you see?

Masky looked forwards, leaning as to try and get a better view of outside the bars, failing. "A concrete wall, I have no idea where exactly we are." Masky sighed simply, "All I know is that this place doesn't have the same design as the rest of the castle." Masky explained calmly, looking around the room once more.
"This is more boring than watching paint dry..." Mischief spoke from within the mind space, reminding the others that, yes, he sadly exists.
Masky's attention was caught off guard when he heard someone click their tongue slowly. "Who are you talking to?" Masky could recognize that monotone yet malicious voice anywhere,
it was Dust.

"Fu-" Error started to curse in response to the voices, but was cut off by rustling of the bushes around the trio.
Ink was quiet immediately, his eye lights turning into a red target and an exclamation point. He stayed still so he could listen better, not disturbing the leaves.
Dream slightly turned to see behind them, readying his machetes in case of being found out, his gaze was strict but focused, unsurprising for someone so patient.

"Voices in my head, something you would be used to." Masky shot back quickly, a little bit of sass lining his voice like a picture frame around his words.
"Of course" Dust spoke tiredly, inclining not to talk anymore before leaning against one of the concrete walls lazily.

Error stayed silent and slowly moved his head to watch and see what was rustling the bushes nearby. There was a warm breeze, "I think it was just the breeze." He grumbled, he should've noticed that.
Ink sighed simply out of relief, "Alrighty, let's think up a game plan." Ink spoke with confidence, his energy never failing. "We need to find out where Masky is, I'm sure that just walking in would be stupid, maybe there's a back entrance? We should explore outside of the premises." Ink explained in a whisper his ideas, Dream only nodding in response.
Ink may have been an idiot half the time, a loveable one of course, but he was also quite intelligent.
"I can explore the left and Ink can explore the right, I'm unsure where Error can explore though." Dream whispered as he put his hands to his sides, his machetes dropped down right below his hands as to be in quick range.
"I can stay here and keep watch to make sure you both don't, well, I don't know, die." Error suggested in a bit of a sarcastic tone of voice, Shrugging.
Dream nodded, smiling a little at Error's sarcasm, "Alrighty, if someone follows one of us, take after them and stop them from chasing us. We'll meet back here, deal?" Dream explained the plan to the two skeletons beside him, looking to the two with determination.
Error nodded, "Good luck I guess?" He spoke skeptically. He looked to Ink and nodded at him, trusting the plan.

Dream smiled and tilted their head cutely, "let's go then!" Dream smiled as he turned to leave for the left side of the castle, specifically crossing over the path leading up to the castle entrance to the other side of the castle.
Ink went to the right side that they were on, giving a thumbs up to the other two skeletons from the bushes before continuing, scurrying along like a Pokémon hidden in tall grass.
Error looked left and right as if he was crossing a busy road. He let his eyes stay on Ink for a moment longer, watching as Ink continued looking through the bushes. He sighed simply out of a bit of longing, 'Why do I let myself feel this?' he questioned himself, 'This isn't supposed to happen.'
Error sighed as he repositioned himself on the left side of the path, opting to hide there with more cover beside the little garden.
