I'm heading straight for the castle

Nightmare furrowed his brow and looked away from his brother with a huff of annoyance from Dream's silence, who was held in his tentacle's grasp.
Cross ran up to the front of the castle from the right side. "They escaped sir, I lost them in the woods." The knight huffed, holding his knives on his knees under the palms of his hands, he seemed to have been running around the forest in looking for them.
"Cross, take him to the training room." Nightmare said with slight irritation as he dropped Dream onto his goon carelessly, Dream and Cross both giving a small eep sound.
Cross surprisingly caught the skeleton bridal style, near falling over in the process before stabilizing the new weight. "Yeah- sure boss." Cross sounded a bit anxious as he wasn't usually told to do things by Nightmare, but did as he was told, starting the walk to the castle. "Mind me asking why?" Cross asked, trying to start up chit-chat as he looked up at Nightmare who was walking beside him through the large castle doors.
"I'll explain once we get there." Nightmare said calmly, his hands in his jacket pockets as they walked down to the cellar. Dust was gone from the hallway.
In this cellar there was a long hallway, but at the end of all the cells that lined the walls, the hall bent to the right to another room.

As the two bad guys entered the before mentioned room, Cross took in his surroundings, him used to this place. It was a large room with a window to look in from an observation room, the area below had foam blocks and a large open area, this was the room for training.
Nightmare walked up some stairs off to the side of the large room, the door electronically closing behind him with 3 locked metal doors stacked front to back.
Nightmare stood in the window and looked at the two like he was waiting for something. "Cross, put my brother down-" Nightmare spoke after a few seconds of awkward silence between all three of them.
"OH uH-" Cross placed Dream neatly on his feet, his face purple with embarrassment at failing to realize what he had to do before hand.

As he was put down on his feet, Dream couldn't help but wonder what was happening, why a training room? Wouldn't they want to torture him? Dream thought with a subtle fear flickering his eye lights.
Dream looked at the door they came in through, bolted shut with iron doors. Dream thought up a few child friendly curses as he looked at the door by leaning to the side to look around the skeleton who put him down.
"Now, I will explain. Dream, you put me through hell, you still do, and I want you to feel what you have caused me." Nightmare's voice echoed around the room as he walked to the side of the windowed room, to a different desk under the window. "So Cross, I want you to fight Dream until he struggles to breathe." Nightmare spoke as he pressed a button on the desk, the foam blocks that littered the training field went down and went back up as a different field, a small village, mainly in ruin. After a few moments, a few roofs erupted into hologram flames.

Dream summoned his two Machetes and looked at Cross, preparing himself quickly, his gaze sympathetic and soft, but stern in a defensive stare.
"Woah- Boss- Wouldn't you want to fight him?? Or someone more? I don't really know- like- qualified???" Cross spoke quickly as Nightmare narrowed his singular working eye socket.
"If you are hesitant, I can have Killer take your place, and Dream boy here can suffer far worse, maybe I can send him to the anti-void instead, to watch all hope leave his body would be priceless! Besides, you are in debt to me, and should follow orders." Nightmare paused, taking note of Cross's reaction to the words, a look of fear flashed in his pure white eye lights at the idea of Dream getting hurt worse, though his thoughts were cut off by Nightmare's words. "Why? Because a good knight follows orders." Nightmare spoke slowly so Cross could understand every word. "You and your brother were good knights, weren't you?"
Cross's eye flared up at the mention of his brother, him narrowing his eye sockets, that was the last time he confided in the king for any kind of support.
Cross' eye sockets went blank, making him look to the ground, his hands gripped tight on the air. Cross breathed in a shaky breath, his eye lights flaring up in a vibrant white as he summoned his own two knives and looked to Dream with determination lining his gaze, a small sound of his boot scrapping the concrete floor cut sharply through the air as he skidded his foot behind him in a fighting stance.
"Now he gets it." Nightmare laughed slightly to himself as he watched the two with amusement.

Cross and Dream had similar fighting styles, maybe in another multiverse, they learnt from each other, but who cares really, Nightmare just wanted to see every last bit of that disgusting positivity get sapped away from his attention hog of a brother.
Cross and Dream watched each other for any attacks carefully before Cross held out a hand, his eye flaring up a lilac purple as he summoned a gaster blaster behind the guardian of positivity, jumping to left and running on the side of a wall forward so he could jump and attack Dream.
Dream jumped to the side and out of the way of the blaster, making his bow swiftly as his cape flew behind him, him shooting a few of the cyan arrows through the beam at where he last saw Cross and where he presumed the Knight to be.
Cross felt one impale his shoulder before teleporting behind Dream and aiming to stab him in the ribs. Dream turned his head with a small glare before he teleported away from the battle in a puff of yellow stars to behind one of the buildings.

Dream didn't usually teleport this quickly, so he breathed in a bit as he tried to regain any energy he had. Dream crouched behind a broken cobble wall as he thought of his situation, he was stuck underground with his murderous brother and one of his many goons, he is locked in a room and now has no way to get out.
Dream thought of an idea, his face brightening as he took off the crown and placed it on his wrist gently.
"Ah ah ah, Dream, has anyone ever taught you manners? Teleporting out of the arena isn't possible while engaged in a fight." Nightmare spoke from the window, his smug grin growing by the second.
Dream's eye sockets widened in the realization, he really was stuck. Dream shook his head and glared at the ground in front of him, attempting to rectify his thinking. That was what Nightmare wanted him to think, he had to try and fix this somehow without teleporting. Dream tried to think up ideas before his eye sockets widened a little, him ducking further into the rubble filled home as he covered his mouth, Cross walking by in search for him.
After a few seconds, Dream leaned from the interior of the house, his head out so he could see Cross' positioning. Dream's eyes turned to bright stars as he did a fist with one of his hands, cheering himself on as he got up quietly, rolling out from his cover and aiming his bow at Cross' back.
Cross sent bones at Dream as he turned around, one of the bones hitting the arrow out of the air before he teleported elsewhere. Cross needed the high ground so Dream couldn't attempt to sneak up on him that easily.

This was an equal fight between two of similar attacks,
Oh boy this would take a while.
