After turning and twisting for almost five hours, I was deadpanned.
Sleeping is not as easy as it sounds especially not after you just met your long lost bestfriend last night and cried after a long time. But I was happy for something more interesting.
It was Sunday .
I turned to the clock viewing the time which turned out to be six in the morning, and as everyone was most probably sleeping over. I decided to use this opportunity to go to the music room and practice
After doing my quote unquote the basic necessities of the morning, I tiptoed to the subtle room with hiraeth written on the door and made myself comfortable on the stool near the piano and played it for as long as I can remember
After playing the tune to all the Lana del ray's song on repeat, I looked at the time and found that it half past seven already
Man, time does fly fast
Deciding that it was probably time to leave, I bid my goodbyes to the room and made my way to the main hall and in the way crossing an angry Edgar, he is always angry tbh.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty" Adriano greeted from across the room to which I just rolled my eyes to
"Haha" I said in a sarcastic way
A couple more choruses of mornings were heard from all over the house as I replied back and poured myself a bowl of lucky charms with milk
The TV was turned on with Ted Talk playing on basically everyone in the room except Edgar and Elizabeth. I don't even wanna imagine what is going on between them right now
"Still not over lucky charms huh?" Adriano chuckled as I kicked him in his shin to which he replied with an over dramatic 'oww'
"Mr. Alessandro, why do you think our economy is going down so quick?" Was the question of a reporter on tv to a bald man sitting on a couch and that was when it hit me
Alessandro Gustavo was in town. I am doomed.
I nearly chocked on my cereal making my way out in the garden where I decided to call Iris and Theo
After nearly three rings, the phone was answered
" Hey Iri-?" I was cut of from the other end
"DON'T HEY ME CAMELLIA CELESTIA FUCKING DURAZZO" Iris shot out form the other end "YOU DIDN'T ANSWER MY PHONE FROM TWO DAYS JUST AFTER YOU JUST CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT BITCH GUSTAVO WAS IN TOWN. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND " She yelled
"Uhm- Iris I can explain" I said quickly. I hate angry iris, she is either all jangly or all I-will-murder-you
"THEN PLEASE DO" She yelled again and I could hear faint laughter of Theo in the background
"Okay." I cleared my throat "You remember Adriano?" I asked her
"WHO IS-" She stopped midway "oh my gosh" she said in a way softer tone
"Adriano. As in Adriano Giuseppe Brown?" Theo asked as I could get a clear vision of his voice
"YES HIM." I jumped feeling the excitement
"Wait- how? when? why? " Iris was speechless
"He is with me but that is not what I want to talk to you guys about. It's the Gustavo's. I will be at the warehouse in a couple of hours. With Adriano" I said chuckling in the end as we bid our goodbyes and I heard someone clear their throat beside me
FUCK NO.
"Ellie" The person said as I took a deep sigh of relief.
"Adriano Hey" I said looking rather relieved
