"Don't mention this to Storm," I heard him say coldly.

Tiningnan kong mabuti ang mga mata niya. There was no emotion at all. Bumalik sa akin ang tingin niya at tipid na ngumiti. His eyes went to Rush's side again, the jealousy obviously etched on his expression.

Natapos na ang event pero hindi pa bumabalik sina Carter. I texted him and even asked his yaya to follow them.

Pansin kong tunog nang tunog ang cellphone ni Rush. Nandito kami sa mga benches malapit sa gym. Nasa may kabilang upuan naman sina Cloud at Rainvard. Hindi ko alam kung nasaan sina Ate Snow at Marvel.

"I'm sorry... you can go if you want?" I smiled apologetically at Rush.

Kanina ko pa pansin ang pagkatulala niya. Mula pa nung nakilala namin ang kaklase ni Carter.

"Huh? Hey... it's fine."

"Pero naabala ka pa namin. I just wanted my brother to be happy today... busy kasi sina Mommy and Papa kaya hindi siya matutukan," I explained. "But things happened, I am grateful that you were there for him today. I am sure Mommy and Papa too..."

He stared at me for a moment. Saglit siyang napatingin sa gawi nina Cloud. Kaya pati ako'y napatingin na rin.

Rain and Cloud looked like they were talking about something important. Bigla namang tumayo si Cloud. His gaze went to us. Lumapit siya sa amin at tumigil sa harap ko.

"I'll be leaving now." He said only looking at me. "I have important matters to attend to."

Important matters... I guess he'll be visiting Clarisse.

"You don't have to tell me." I said and crossed my legs.

He smiled a bit before he walked away from us. I watched as his figure slowly disappeared. Kinagat ko ang labi at tumingin sa dinaanan ni Cloud. My eyes met with Rush. I was about to stand when he pulled my arm back.

"Don't," Rush whispered.

"Huh?"

"Don't go after him. You'll only hurt yourself in the process..." Rush told me.

I looked at way Cloud went.

"I have to ask something," sabi ko at pilit inaalis hawak niya.

Rush sighed heavily. "Why ask something when you already know the answer?"

I managed to pick up myself gracefully when I realized what he meant. I told myself, I'll let him chase me but this slightest moment makes me feel lesser of myself. And it shouldn't be like that.

Love shouldn't make me feel like this.

But what is love without a bumpy road? Roads aren't always smooth and easy. There are times where you have no choice but to go through this.

"Would you please... stop chasing after him?" pakiusap ni Rush, nanatiling nakahawak sa braso ko.

Kinagat ko ang labi at umiwas ng tingin.

"I'm not chasing him." giit ko.

"You are, and by the way you are acting right now, you might as well tell him that you still love him," malamig na sambit ni Rush.

I was loss for words. Nakita kong umiwas ng tingin sa amin si Rainvard at nilabas ang phone para titigan ito.

I should be honest.

"Rush, I'm sorry. Maybe I have led you on, but I still—"

"Why can't you look at me this time?" his voice broke, looking into my eyes.
