[Phone Call]1:14 a.m.
Nika: Alam mo ba...
Miko: Hmm?
Nika: Inis talaga ako sayo
Miko: Bakit ka naiinis sa akin?
Nika: Ikaw kasi
Miko: Mhmm... bakit?
Nika: Naiinis ako sayo
Miko: And you won't even tell me why.
Nika: Kasalanan mo kaya
Miko: Bakit nga?
Nika: Nakakainis ka.
Miko: Okay. Nakakainis ako, pero bakit?
Nika: Kasi...
Nika: Ewan. Basta nakakainis ka.
Miko: Did I say something last time?
Nika: Isipin mo.
Miko: Why won't you tell me? Hindi ko malalaman kung hindi mo sasabihin.
Nika: Ser...
Miko: Yes?
Nika: Nakakainis ka

Miko chuckled when she repeated it for the hundredth time this evening.
"Are you like this when you're drunk?" he asked.
"Nakakainis ka," she said again. Her words were beginning to sound slurry.
"I know. But please tell me why," he said.
"Miko . . . " she called.
"Hmm?" A smile appeared on his lips, and he couldn't track where he was on his readings anymore. Ever since she messaged him earlier, all he could think of was where she was. Who she's with, and whatever he did for her to repeatedly say, nakakainis ka.
But there was something with how she called his name. It made him smile so easily.
He's still not used to it whenever she calls him like that. Nobody calls him like that, except her and only her.
And it sounded so sweet. He wanted to hear it again.
"Miko . . . " she called his name for the second time, sounding so sleepy.
"Nika?"
"Nakakainis ka."
"I know. You've been telling me. Pero bakit?" he asked.
"Miko . . . "
"Hmm?"
"Kapag ba sinabi kong sunduin mo ko, susunduin mo ko?"
"Do you want me to?"
"Ser . . . "
"Yes?"
"Sundo mo 'ko, please? Ayaw ko sumabay kay Klein," she said.
The smile on his lips wouldn't fade away. It's 1 a.m., he should probably stay home and continue reading his cases. But for some reasons, his feet seems to have a mind of its own.
He stood up from his bean bag, grabbing his keys and jacket.
"Where are you?"
"Susunduin mo ako?"
"Yes, Nika."
"Talaga?"
He nodded. "Mhmm . . . pero nasaan ka? Will you share your location with me?"
"Okay . . . "
"Okay."
"Miko," she said.
"Yes?"
"Nakakainis ka."
