Pierre had avoided Madden after their race

Pierre had avoided Madden after their race. Even after the team meeting, he'd managed to avoid being caught alone with her. The one thing he couldn't avoid was the fact that he was being handed her mobile after she left it before rushing home. He took it, resigning himself to take it to her home. As he walked to his car, he turned it on, just in case she called her phone, worried that it was missing. Once the phone had started up, Pierre was shocked at the amount of missed calls and texts that seemed to come through almost instantly. He couldn't help but watch as it happened, the name Joe popping up on almost every message and missed call. He wanted to open them, to read every single word he was sending, only seeing a small preview of the messages as they popped up.

His frustration was bubbling, he was glad it wasn't Max or any of the other guys he knew but the fact she was cheating on him was disgusting.

Driving from Silverstone, he knew he didn't have far to go, the young blonde living close by in a home she only stayed at part of the year. The drive felt much longer, all he kept thinking about Madden and her texts and calls. He gave her everything she could ever want, physically and emotionally, the fact that this was even happening was baffling.

Pierre turned onto her street, her car was in her driveway, another car parked behind it, blocking it in, it looked like it had been parked in a hurry. Parking his car outside of the house, Pierre took the phone and headed up towards the house, his eyes scanning in the window, he didn't want to see anything if she was cheating on him, but he couldn't help himself.

There was very little to see through the window, he could only see the telly which was on, but no one seemed to be around. He knocked on the door, the phone in his hand which had been unusually quiet, as he waited for her to open it. After a minute or so, he knocked again only harder to really get her attention. Another minute passed before the door was opened, it wasn't Madden on the other side of the door.

"Can I help you?" The guy looked straight at Pierre, their heights seeming to be even. The formula one driver examined the man in front of him, he was not what he expected to see. He had dyed blonde hair, it was styled in an emo fashion, his hair partially obscuring his left eye. His clothing was dark, a loose fitting grey tee shirt, black skinny jeans and a pair of black buckle boots.

Pierre returned his gaze back to the man's eyes, "I'm here for Madden."

The man raised his eyebrows as he shrugged his shoulders, Pierre was surprised at how casual this man was, it wasn't like Pierre wasn't well known. Even if he didn't know that Madden and himself were dating, it should be common enough knowledge that Pierre was her team mate. "She's a little busy right now," he said with a blank look on his face. "Maybe I can help."

"Who are you?"

"Joe," the guy smiled as he looked at Madden's phone in Pierre's hand. There was a sound in the house from behind Joe, Pierre heard it he looked passed the blond at the door hoping to see something, but there was nothing. "I'll take that," Joe held his hand out waiting for the phone.

Inside, Pierre was fuming. Madden didn't even had the guts to come to the door and speak for herself. "I want to see Madden right now!" Pierre snapped, his anger bubbling at the surface. She wasn't just his girlfriend, she was his work partner, he deserved more than this.

The guy in front of him just let out a sigh, "She doesn't want to see you right now."

Pierre was enraged by the attitude of both this guy and Madden. Slapping her phone down on Joe's hand, Pierre took the moment to push him out of the way and into the home. Pierre didn't bother to look back as he heard a thud where the blond had hit the wall, he was focused on finding Madden. His hands were balled in fists as he stormed into the living room, he was surprised at the mess of the floor, things were scattered everywhere including her trophies and helmets, something Madden always took great pride in looking after. He barged through to the kitchen, there he found the young woman, his eyes widened as he took in the scene in front of him.

Tied to a chair, Madden was gagged with blood dribbling down her forehead from a cut. Pierre rushed to her, his fingers pulled the material from her mouth. "Pierre!" Her voice was loud and it held a warning, turning on the spot, Pierre looked up at the man who had done this.

Standing up, Pierre stared at the man, he was shocked at what was happening here, he wasn't too sure what would happen next but all he knew was, Madden was scared, he heard it in her voice. The blond man smirked as he looked from Pierre to Madden then back to the male formula one driver. "Did she neglect to mention me?" He looked at Madden with a fake disappointed look on his face, "After everything we've been through..."

"Leave," the word leaving Pierre's voice sounded foreign to Madden. She'd never heard him speak with such a chilling tone before, even she felt a little scared at that moment.

Joe looked at him and rolled his eyes, "She's not worth all the hassle she's putting you through." He looked back at Madden but this enraged Pierre who grabbed Joe by the chin forcing his attention back on himself. "Alright man," Joe pulled himself from the tight grip stepping back with a grin on his lips. "I'm leaving."

Pierre stood tall and watched through the doors as Joe walked towards the front door, looking back with a smirk before he slipped out the door. Once the door closed, Pierre turned back to the woman who he was in love with. His adrenaline helped as he pulled the rope from her wrists, his eyes watching as tears fell down her face before she wrapped her arms around him once she was free. "Thank you," she whispered as she held him tightly.

He could feel her body shaking as she gripped him. He closed his eyes as he kept her close to him, he inhaled her smell and relaxed a little as he finally felt for a moment she was safe. "I've got you," was all he could say as he stroked her hair trying to calm her as her tears made his shoulder wet and her sobs were close to his ear.

"I wanted to tell you," she choked out the words. "I just didn't want you getting hurt."

Pierre placed a kiss against her cheek, he didn't want to let her go, not now, not ever. He pulled back before cupping her face, her stared into her eyes, he could see how relieved she looked now. "I'm so sorry," he admitted as he stroked his thumb on her skin, his thumb smudging through the blood but neither noticed. He felt so much guilt right at that moment, all this time he thought the worst about her, that she was cheating but instead this was happening. He struggled to find the words to say how he was feeling, instead he pulled her back into his embrace.
