'And it was hard to distinguish, love at first sight or holiday romance?'

Lando looked across the beach, his eyes scanning the various bodies and faces of all the sun worshippers. Everyone was there for the same reason, it enjoy the sunshine and relax. Lando was there for the same reasons, he was enjoying the summer break from his usual job, driving for McLaren in Formula 1. His friend, Max nudged him getting his attention, Lando followed the gaze of his friend, there eyes setting on a group of women who were setting up having just come to the beach.

Max leaned close to Lando as he spoke quietly. "I'm gonna go introduce myself," he stood up after speaking, a smirk crossing his lips as he looked over at the women before back to Lando. "You should come over too."

He was still getting over his recent break up, although he'd never admit it out loud to his friends. "You go ahead," Lando laughed. "If I go over you'll miss out on all of them." He played it off as he picked his drink up from the sand.

Turning his attention to the group, Max left his friend and headed towards the group of young woman. Lando looked over, watching his friend as he approached the holidaymakers. Lando shook his head as he let out a small laugh to himself. When he got to the group, the women seemed to easily let Max into their group, some touching his arm and laughing at his words as he flirted. Lando rolled his eyes as he looked down at his hands, looking at the alcohol bottle that rested in his hand, he wondered what he was even doing here. He took a mouthful of the drink before looking at where Max was.

After a while he was suddenly aware that the sun had been slightly blocked, turning his attention to whatever it was, he was surprised to see a young woman standing in his light. "You can't just stare at people all day," she spoke as she looked down at him.

Lando was confused as he looked up at her with his mouth open, he furrowed his brows as he spoke, "I was staring?"

"You've been looking at those girls for ages," the blonde haired woman pointed out as she held the black lace wraparound close on her pale skin, letting small peeks of her pale skin show underneath. "If you are that into them maybe you should just go over and introduce yourself."

His eyes went wide as he realised what had actually happened. He'd zoned out whilst looking in that direction. Lando had not meant to be staring. "Wait," his mind went to the words she was saying. "So, you've been watching me?"

She rolled her eyes, "Not exactly. The one with the pink hat, she's my cousin. She mentioned to me that you'd been staring." Her eyes looked down and the young man, she could see why her friends thought he was cute. Actually, he was more than cute, his arms were muscly, tight in the light shirt he wore. She would definitely let him hold her with those arms, so close to him.

"So you came to warn me off?"

The blonde laughed as she pulled off her sunglasses revealing her dark makeup clad eyes. "Yes and no. Also it would seem that a few of them think you're cute. I'm just the messenger seeing as they are all too..." She pondered for a moment, thinking of the right word. "Let's just say, I'm the one who dares to be different."

Lando looked at her features, she was a dainty little thing. Her skin seemed extra pale for someone who was on a beach in Turkey, there wasn't a hint of a tan anywhere that he could see. There was a beautiful tattoo that seemed to snake up her left arm though, partially hidden by the sleeves of her cover up. He returned his glaze to her face, the dark makeup that surrounded her eyes looked very out of place considering their location, yet she was strikingly beautiful and it seemed to suit her. "Do you suggest I go over?"

She laughed quietly as his words, "So far you've not even introduced yourself to me. If you go over there you'll be eaten alive, which is cool if you like that sort of thing." Lando noticed a slight sparkle in her bright blue eyes, although the longer her looked he realised it was there constantly.

Reaching his hand over to her, he smiled, "Lando. My name is Lando."

She brought her free hand forward, he noticed an inking on her palm before she connected her hand with his, shaking slightly. "Joey," she grinned as she crouched down in front of him. Her large black platform boots began to sink into the sand as she wrapped her arms around her lower folded legs.

The way she held herself up in her boots in the sand was intriguing to Lando, she wasn't like all the other women on the beach. Her long blonde hair was in pigtails, black lace wrapping around them keeping them neat and tight, her eye make up was perfectly done, wings flicked perfectly on her eyelids and black lining her waterline. Due to the long length of her swimsuit cover up and the height on her buckled platform boots travelling to her knees, he'd not seen any leg on show at all, something which was very rare on a beach.

"I'm just gonna put this out there," as she spoke the right side of her mouth with curled up in a smirk like fashion. "I know my friends," she tilted her head as she looked away from him and towards the group that Lando had been staring at. Joey noticed the way they all gravitated towards the guy that had came over, her friends enjoying the attention and the flirting. She wasn't lying when a couple of them mentioned Lando staring and how cute he was, as always, she was the only one brave enough to approach a guy, even if it wasn't for herself. "You'll go over, introduce yourself and before the end of the evening you, that other guy and all the girls will end up on the yacht." Joey looked back at Lando and smiled, "You'll love it."

He looked over at the girls who were fawning over Max, he smiled to himself before returning his gaze to Joey. "And you?" He asked as she started to stand back up, pushing her sunglasses back over her eyes, hiding the colour that she showed.

"What about me?"

"You'll be there too?" He asked as he watched the young blonde as she wiped away any sand from the bottom of her black wraparound. "On the yacht?"

She looked up from the ground to meet his eyes as she laughed, "Of course. It's my yacht." She playfully told him before walking away from him with a grin on her lips.
