Springfield, Massachusetts
Jennifer was getting some writing supplies, like journals, pens, and paper. She was waiting in a long line. There was only one cashier available. In one aisle, there was open bags of cheese doodles, BBQ chips, and cookie crumbs scattered all over the floor.
A dead alligator was lying in the candy aisle. "Since when alligators were primitive to Massachusetts?" Jennifer wondered. The line never budged. A woman kept scavenging through her purse, for some change.
That was the problem.
