Chapter 10

Since spending time together that day at the office things between Dax and Selene were more than perfect. Tonight Dax had organised a party for other packs to come and give their decision and for people to meet the new Luna regent on her grounds. Eleanor and Amara wanted to organise it for her along with the help with Regina. Selene just thought it was a standard meet and greet but Dax wanted her to how much she is needed and wanted here. Not just for him but for the other pack members.

Selene is in her house in the living room playing the piano, something she never knew she could do until she had the urge to play it. She had spoken to Gideon who said it is possible she got the talent of music from her biological uncle Apollo. The truth is Gideon and the elders think there is more to her than they originally thought. For now they just have to note down what talents she possesses and go from there. Even with Dax still working a lot he is making time for them, Selene appreciating it more now she knows exactly what it is he does.

The door to the house closes and Dax walks in and heads straight upstairs not saying a word to Selene. She can feel his stress and goes up to check he is okay. She walks in their room and goes up behind him and wraps her arms around his waist.

"Fuck sake can I have two minutes before you come here and hassle me"
Selene freezes and then she feels him rip her hands from around him. He walks into the shower slamming the door. Selene frozen their for what seems like eternity. The sound of his phone pinging has her pulling out of her thoughts. One thing people forget about Goddesses is that one they are very jealous people and two they are angry when provoked. Dax phone rings and she answers it, like she has done many times before.

"Hello"
"Oh um sorry I was looking for Daxon."
"He is in the shower can I ask who is speaking?"
"It is Sabrina. I just wanted to make sure he got home okay as he didn't get much rest. Can you ask him to ring me as soon as he gets out of the shower"
"Sure"
She ends the call and puts his phone on the bed and sees this Sabrina has called him most nights when she is asleep. She gets her jacket and leaves the house, heading for the pack house and looking for Eleanor.

When she walks in and sees her she signals for her to come. Eleanor can see she is upset.

"Hey what's wrong?"
"Who is Sabrina?"
"Oh um. How did you know her name?"
"Dax just got home in a fowl mood, screamed at me for being harassing and then Sabrina called. She has also called him every night when I am fast asleep. So again who is Sabrina?"
"Look Dax would of told you but when he was a kid Sabrina's family and his family were going to do an arranged marriage between them if they hadn't found their mates. It is probably nothing. He has you"
"Thanks for telling me"
Selene doesn't say another word she leaves the pack house and heads for the forest, making sure her scent is undetected. Especially from Dax.

By the time Dax gets out of the shower he wants to find Selene to apologise, he didn't mean to snap at her but after trying to stop Sabrina and her family coming tonight as to not upset Selene and them saying they were coming no arguments. He started to panic. He quickly gets changed and grabs his phone looking around the house for her. He unlocks his phone and sees it is on his call log, when he sees a phone call from Sabrina ten minutes ago the blood drains from his face. He quickly tries to call Selene but her phone is on the kitchen counter. He leaves the house heading for the pack house frantically looking for her. When Eleanor sees him she goes to him anger laced on her face.

"You may be my Alpha but you are an idiot."
"Has Selene been here?"

"Yes and then left. Just because your scared of Sabrina coming tonight there was no need to take it out on the one woman who loves you for you. "
"I know I didn't mean too. I was just annoyed by Sabrina"
"Yeah well how do you think Selene feels. The past month that girl has had to deal with people who are obsessed with you and has handled it better than most of us."
"Do you know where she went?"
