Travis' View

I starred desperately into the woods. There was nothing but silence. Sargent K hadn't returned with the winners for way too long now. I crossed my fingers hoping that Kelsy was okay.

General Mathews and Captain Logan had visited our bases to see how well we do on our physical tests. From the worry plastered on their faces I know that they were as concerned about our class mates as we were.

Suddenly there was a horrific scream that came from the trees. I gripped onto my gun and turned to General Mathew and Captain Logan to see what they were going to do.

The Captain and General jumped on their horses then made their way over to us. My class and I circled around them.

"You are to stay here, if we do not return within 30 minutes contact the military, Understood?" general Mathew commanded

"Yes sir" Everyone except me saluted General Mathew

I shoved my way through the crowd over to General Mathew "I'm going too sir, Kelsy is out there and I need to help her". There was no way that I was going to stay back and wait for them to return. I need to be there for Kelsy, whatever the cost.

Captain Logan smirked at me "And who do you think you are?"

General held up his hand to stop Captain Logan from speaking "You may go but don't expect us to slow down for you"

"Thank you" I breathed out a sigh of relief

"However, your lack of discipline will rewarded with a punishment that I will sort out tomorrow, understood?"

"Yes sir" I saluted General Mathew even though I would prefer not to receive that 'reward'. I ran on foot into the woods to find Kelsy, while General Mathew and Captain Logan rode ahead on their horses as I didn't know how to ride a horse yet.

I stopped running halfway through the woods and bent down patting. I couldn't find anyone anywhere. I helped Kelsy get into the military and so if she gets hurt in this training, it would be my fault.

"Look who's joined us" I turned around and stood face to face with Captain Hunter.

"Where's Kel..." I trailed off when I saw the blood dripping from his hands "What happened?! What did you do?!"

Captain Hunter pointed behind him and there on the ground was Kelsy, totally unconscious, lying in a pile of blood stained leaves.

I tried to push past Captain Hunter but he grabbed my neck and slammed me against the tree. I grabbed his wrists and tried to pull him away from me but he wouldn't lose his hold on me.

"I don't think you get me" He tightened his grip around my neck "I'm not Captain Hunter"

"Are you a deligent?" I strained to speak

"Yup" The deligent said popping the 'p' cheerfully. It had no fear of me whatsoever. This deligent must be powerful if it has the guts to come into military territory alone. "Now you get a reward for your intelligence". I felt my heart rate pick up uncontrollably; I don't like the sound of another reward.

With his other hand he hit me across the face, it happened so fast that I didn't even know it happened until my cheek immediately started to throb with pain.

Once he let me go I held onto my cheek bone to stop the pain. I have no idea why this deligent hasn't even tried to eat either me or Kelsy yet. Did it have another purpose?

"Why are you here?" I asked to gain time hoping that General Mathew and Captain Logan would hurry up and find us. The deligent placed his hand on both of my shoulders and looked deep into my eyes. I swallowed very slowly as its rotten breath fanned over my face. What is it doing? "Are you-" A knee to my stomach cut me off as I dropped to the ground clutching my stomach.
