9. Zombified swamp water

"It's back!" Parker shoved me forward, in the way of the deligent to protect himself. I quickly kicked the nearest door open so that I could hide while my class gets eaten. I rushed inside but immediately hit a hard chest.

My nose started to burn "My nose!" I held my nose as I felt a nose bleed coming on. Yes, Sargent K's chest was literally that hard.

He rolled his tired eyes at me and finally flicked on the lights.

Why hadn't we done that before?

Thats when we came face to face with the pale green deligent holding its stomach. Vomit erupted from its mouth and slid across the floor I stepped backward before the rotten food could touch my toes. However stupid Parker was still behind me and so I ended up slipping over in the slimy mess.

"Parker! I am going to ki-"

"Kelsy" The deligent grumbled. I stopped planning to murder Parker and looked up to the deligent. I recognized that voice so much... It can't be...

"Travis? Are you a..." I struggled to get the words out my mouth "deligent?"

Three weeks later and Travis has returned and already causing trouble.

The real question is how did this mess happen?

"Do not eat anything, bring it back to the base, even if it's an animal, frog or grape, nothing goes into your mouth until it is checked by me" Sargent K instructed us. I turned to Travis and warned him with my eyes.

What? He loves food too much.

"The team of three that brings back the most edible food and a dead rabbit wins this" Our eyes lit up as we stared at a bar of chocolate "Good luck".

I grabbed some gardening equipment and made my way through the woods with Natasha and Travis. Me and Natasha worked together to find fruits, we had mainly gathered different types of apples and grapes. Travis on the other hand was trying to get a rabbit.

"Got one!" Travis threw a cage for me to catch. I quickly dropped everything and caught the alive rabbit "And some berries" Travis threw the berries to Natasha.

"It's not dead" I stated

Travis frowned "I'm not going to kill the innocent thing"

"Someone has to!" I threw the cage back to him

"You can!" He threw the cage back to me

"I thought you would have toughed up after all those three weeks!"

"I did" Travis flexed his muscles.

I rolled my eyes at him "Then kill it"

"No, that's a life were talking about here"

"Natasha!" I moaned "Hey, where is Natasha?"

Travis looked around and I took the opportunity to throw the rabbit cage back at him.

Would this be considered animal cruelty if we're going to kill it anyway?

"Okay, I'll kill it, if I get to eat these" Travis picked up the juicy berries he picked earlier.

I huffed at him "We'll get in trouble, plus, it could be poisonous"

Travis stopped picking off the fluff off it "I'll just ask Natasha"

"Me what?" Natasha emerged from the forest holding a handful of pears.

"Are these poisonous?" He held up the berries
