"Soldiers!" Sargent K shouted
"Yes sir!" We saluted
Things were turning back to 'normal'. My hand was halfway healed but I had to wear a bandage on it because it still looked gross to me.
Everyone in our class (except 2) got a pass for advanced training. The general himself said it would be awkward to separate them from us so they were given a pass for advanced training only if they could get to a certain standard in a week.
Everyone helped these snails change into cheetahs in a week. No one wanted anyone to be left behind. Everyone ended up getting a free pass. We all broke out in celebration when we herd the news until one of our new trainer told us what would be happening in the next 10 weeks.
This is basically my day;
We are 'forced' to get up at 5.45am. By 6.00am I'm supposed to be completely ready and standing on the field in all of my gear on. Forget about a warm shower, we were all moved out our cosy rooms into small den rooms which were obviously not fit for a living human.
Around 5.50am a worker would come with a hose and bucket where we would wash. The water was clean but freezing cold like they had just got it from the river. All our gear was wet from training yesterday so we were always constantly cold.
After 6.00am we always did a 3 hours of physical activity. Usually it was a game or sport like Rugby, Tennis or Football. After 1 hour of doing that sport we did boxing and running for an hour each.
From 9.00am till 9.30am we had breakfast.
Then from 9.30am till 12.30pm we were in the classroom learning more survival skills and getting used to our gear.
12.30pm to 1.00pm we had lunch.
From 1.00pm to 4.00pm we do an assault course for half of the time, then we do rowing and swimming activities for the rest of the time.
4.00pm until 6.00pm we were doing homework and eating dinner.
6.00pm to 8.00pm we practiced karate for an hour then Shooting. Shooting is like the most relaxing activity however, if we didn't get a certain score we hand to do 50 handstand press up in the freezing cold showers. Punishments nowadays were just cruel.
We then had until 9.00pm to get clean and go to bed.
Trust me, everyone was too exhausted and hungry to bother chatting. Any minute we had spare was used for sleeping.
After a week of doing the same thing everyday, I found my self getting more exhausted with aching muscles. But everything was improving, I was loosing fat, becoming more toned and strong. My aim had improved greatly and I am one of the best runners in my class.
Today however is Saturday and on Saturdays we were presented with a new gift or skill which we would practice using in our own time. Saturdays and Sundays we only had to do 5 hours of physical activity and we got to choose what we do and usually time was used practicing with the new gear and skills we had.
"Open your boxes in front and take out your newest member to your gear" Our new trainer Milton instructed us.
We opened the small cardboard box that was placed it front of us and there was a another white box inside.
"Now press your finger against the box" We all followed his instructions and the box unraveled into some kind of hover board "As you saw in your tests, military gear and training is very up to date, most of our technology is very like the technological age in the past, maybe even better. As we are so focused on fighting deligents the Research and Intelligence unit has really advanced military, boarder defense and police equipment while civilian technology stays quite old fashioned" Milton took out his box and released the hover board "Today class we will be learning how to ride a hover board"
