-two: for the first time in forever

today was the day for auditions, today was also the day val would be coming to camp shallow lake.

desiree was so excited. val is her step sister, but they are as close as siblings, but val as berm away at college so she's glad she can finally see her again.

"there she is!" desiree and ej exclaimed when they saw val. ej wrapped his arm around desiree as the trio talked.

once again desiree felt a pair of eyes on her, it was the girl again, the one with braids.

"hey, everyone. i'm val, and not too long ago, i was just like you, waiting in the wings for my chance at stardom." val said and eveyone rushed over to listen.

"then i went to college and my dreams of  broadway were instantly dashed by my intro-to-movement professor, who said i wasn't convincing as a human being." 

the red head laughed, and looked around where eveyone wasn't. "wow." she said. "but now i'm a psych major. and i'm also your choreographer. one of them at least. my sister will be your other one."

val pointed at desiree who was leaning on the piano and she waved. "sister? you too?" the girl with fluffy hair said. "step sisters,  but val's my sister cause well we love each other. so take out the step." desiree said.

"yup, and the director will kick of the auditions in just a moment." val said. "corbin bleu woo!" the red head screamed.

"i think i got it. so, corbin bleu is only directing the tv show about the show." val said. "correct." ej spoke. "now you have to direct the actual show? the only ones who know are you and gina." desiree said.

ej was explaining the corbin bleu situation to val and desiree and how he as to direct now.

"what happened to nini? shy girl from last summer." val said. "oh yeah, weird british accent when she's nervous." desiree said snickering.

"yeah, it's been a long year." ej said chuckling. "look. i'll help you. like, for instance, maybe we should cast the show. alone." val said as she looked at ej stare at gina while pointing at herself and desiree.

"wait. no, that's the one thing i was excited about." ej said. "bias is a thing rocket man. your subjectivity could affect the results." desiree said.

"if you guys are such pros, maybe you wanna direct the show too?" "nice try." desiree said. "act like you know what you're doing." val said patting ej's shoulder.

"yo! we're ready!" desiree yelled. "it is time to introduce you to your director, rocket man himself, ej caswell!" val said as the curtains pulled back.

eveyrone clapped very hesitantly. "act like you know what you're doing. act." ej said. "circle up." ej said, his voice cracking. he held hands with everyone as then stood in he circle.

"do you want to build a snowman, it doesn't have to be a snowman." ej started singing. "is this like...some ritual?" desiree whispered to val, and she shrugged.

"we used to be best buddies-" "frozen time! let's go." some guy burst in with a blue and purple, jumpsuit? it's california. "now that's tradition." the other boy with glasses said.

desiree can't wait to learn their names.

"where's mr. bleu?" "geez, he's directing the show about our musical, not the musical, now come on let's go."desiree said picking up a clipboard.

"okay, everyone. let's take some grounding breaths. and we're off!" val said.

"for those of you who i technically know, today, you're not wildcats. today, you're a bunch of blank canvases, strangers to me. today, we've never met." ej said. "please stop talking." desiree said covering his mouth.
