-sixteen: let it go

the show was going on, and desiree was watching from back stage. she hoped everything went well, especially because they went through a lot.

it's summer was going on, and desiree smiled as she watched everything go perfectly and carlos absolutely annihilate his role.

"i'm gonna tell him." ricky said, as the song became to end. "don't you dare." gina said shoving him.

"in summer." carlos sang, holding the not strongly.

desiree went on the stage to push on the let it go prop, and quickly ran off.

she walked kourtney stand next to her nervously and then nudged her.

"you're gonna do great, and i'll make sure nothing goes wrong." desiree said to kourtney, and she nodded nervously.

she walked on stage, and then the song started.
"the snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen." kourtney sang, walking across the stage slowly.

"a kingdom of isolation, and it looks like i'm the queen. the wind is howling like this swirling storm inside. couldn't keep it in, heaven knows i've tried."

desiree smiled as she watched kourtney perform, she knew why she chose kourt. her voice was different and it immediately caught desiree's eye.

"don't let them in, don't let them see. be the good girl you always have to be. conceal, don't feel, don't let them know. well, now they know!"

"let it go, let it go, can't hold it back anymore." kourt said taking off her glove.

"let it go, let it go. turn away and slam the door." kourt sang, as her makeshift powers came up from hee hands.

"don't care what they're going to say, let the storm rage on."

the crowed oohed as her cape pushed away two of the props, and desiree shrugged as she felt her own idea's basically getting praised.

"the cold never bothered me anyway." kourt said, shrugging and obviously gaining confidence.

and as soon as that happened, the lights shut off and the orchestra stopped playing.

everyone in the audience gasped, and all of the cast who was watching kourt looked around in worry.

"no." desiree said, running towards maddox who was controlling lights and sound.

"i don't know what happened." maddox said as she tried to push buttons.

desiree sighed, she promised she wouldn't let nothing go wrong, and she has no ideas what she could do.

"i got it, don't worry. keep trying to fix it." desiree said, going over to the dressing rooms.

she grabbed her phone and walked down the steps backstage into the audience.

desiree stood in front of the audience, facing kourt.

"i'm right here, breathe." she said, turning on her flashlight.

"it's funny how some distance makes everything seem small." desiree sang, trying to help kourt.

people started to follow desiree, turning their phone lights on.

"and the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all." desiree said, making eye contact with kourt.

desiree nodded to the orchestra as she crouched down, telling them to continue.

"it's time to see what i can do, to test the limits and break through, no right, no wrong, no rules for me. i'm free!" kourt sang, her confidence coming back.
