desiree and maddox spent the mooning backing tents, and getting camping things ready.

they both realized everyone was up when they heard screaming and chatter right where the list was posted.

"quiet your voices!" maddox yelled. "mornin', stage manager. you guys got everything ready?" ej said.

"sure do, rocket man." desiree said leaning on the banister. "it's newbie initiation campout night, folks." she said to everyone.

"a night in the woods among the wildlife...and spirits." maddox said.

"pack your tents. oh, and rest your vocal cords." maddox continued. "you'll be screaming tonight." desiree finished.

desiree stopped in her tracks of leaving and faced everyone again.

"oh, and by the way, carlos, we have cameras in the stage manager's office. but nice try recasting the show." desiree said winking.

"it's the most wonderful time of the year. not christmas, not tax day...newbie night! you guys are gonna have so much fun." maddox said to all the campers in the cabin.

"once we reach the camping spot, we start by setting up the tents. then we gather around the campfire for a little sing-along experience, followed by the world-famous retelling of..."

"am i talking' to myself? yeah talking' to myself." maddox said, as nobody was really paying attention to her besides desiree.

"are you okay?" maddox said to ashlyn was was writing frantically on her bed.

"a hundred percent. just journaling. reframing the news from this morning so i can make it a win." she said.

"oh, i get it. you're a leo rising." maddox said, desiree always tells her not to make assumptions. but then again, maddox can't keep her mouth shut.

"capricorn rising, actually. i'm all earth and air signs in my big three." ashlyn said. "really? i totally get fire sign vibes from you." maddox said

"look, i know myself. i'm a ravenclaw, an enfp, a belle, and a samantha." "the american girl doll, samantha. and i'm definitely a capricorn rising."

"0kay. tonight's gonna rock." maddox said clapping her hands. "hey, g, can i talk to you?" ej said suddenly sticking his head in. 

"whoa! whoa!" desiree said as the other girls said other things. "hey! out, out." maddox said.

"it is my head." ej said. "i'll allow it." desiree said crossing her arms.

"now i need to come in the rest of the way." ej said. "you're really needy, you got two minutes. go." desiree said shaking her head

"aw!" gina's friend said when ej came in with flowers.

"real original ej." desiree nodded, causing ej to stick his tongue out at her.

gina and ej sat down, having their conversation as everyone else continued with what they were doing.

kourtney butted in later on, "hi. butting in. corbin? tomorrow? and we're staying out all night. is that smart?" she said.

"ding, ding. and that's two minutes, ej." desiree said tapping her invisible watch.

"now, everybody, sometimes there are snakes. most of them are not poisonous." maddox said when they got to the camp site. "most of them?!" kourtney exclaimed.
