-ten: color war pt 2

the color war had been going on for a while now, the last event being basketball.

desiree now watched as the campers played dewey says, aka dewey's version of simon says.

"dewey says hop on one foot." he instructed. "hey dewey? is simon gonna sue you for stealing his game?" ricky asked as he hopped.

"i don't know simon personally." dewey responded.

"breaking news, dewey wood locks simon of simon says in his basement." ricky said, and gina laughed.

dewey blew his whistle, "you're out. buh-bye."

"dewey says stop. dewey says hop on one foot." dewey said. "dude, you can't give them the same things to do." desiree said.

"it's not desiree says, i make the rules in this game."

"dewey says dance like you're at the camp prom." dewey said. ashlyn stopped suddenly, "what'd you say?"

"did he say there's a camp prom?" she said turning to a girl. "you, out."

"dewey says spin in a circle."

"simon says stop."

two of the people from the blue team stopped,  leaving jet and maddox spinning.

"oh! i'm dewey, not simon. you two, you're out."

"dewey says that is a great victory for the yellow team. congrats, you two." dewey said.

desiree stood up cheering for maddox's team, as other people cheered.

jet walked up to maddox, and they started to talk, and then raised his hand for a high fice that maddox returned in confusion.

"dewey says get ready for the climbing wall next."

desiree walked off the platform to maddox, "what was that about?" she asked. "no idea." maddox said shaking her head.

after a short break the climbing wall was up, before the only event that desiree liked, "this is our final athletic competition before the big sing-off." desiree said to all of the campers.

"we'll do a series of sprints mano-a-mano, and one player will prevail each time." val said.

"okay, kourtney, gina, you're up." val said again.

people cheered around them, "come on, kourt." carlos cheered. 

"let's do this."  val said excitedly. kourtney laughed, "i just remembered that idina menzel mentioned on a podcast that elsa's actually afraid of heights."

"really? she lives in a tower." carlos spoke. "not now carlos." kourt said.

"come on, kourt!" carlos cheered as kourt walked up to the wall.

"three, two, one.." val said and then blew her whistle. 

gina started to climb, and kourt stayed at the bottom anxiously.

gina was climbing fast, and kourt stayed down, looking around.

desiree didn't want to seem biased but she wanted the yellow team to win, and if gina got that flag there would be a tie.

"oh forget it." desiree said as she walked to the wall and started to climb.

"don't worth kourt, i got you!" she said she climbed.

"desiree, you can't climb without a harness!" val yelled up.

"i'm a dancer, and i've done this for years i know what i'm doing."
