Men and women stood around a lengthy table, pacing between what you assume to be the kitchen and the dining room carrying out different dishes, glasses, and cutlery. Dawning monochrome black suits and silver reflective masks ,seemingly molded to their facial features, they moved about with purpose and precision. Easily dodging eachother as they set the table for what could be assumed a large party of guests.
Watching from the side door with growing anxiety it dawns on you, so many plates, so many people. Getting out without being noticed would be harder than you thought. You don't spare much longer contemplating the details before deciding it would be best to leave them to it, rather than stick around and dawdle.
A sinking feeling in your gut urged you foward when one of the masked people hissed and growled loudly at another for bumping into them.
Like, literally hissed. With fangs and all.
Hell no.
The open concept hallway greeted you once again and you continued to stalk through it, this time with a new sense of caution. You knew you needed to leave, and if the help was anything to go by, then the home owner probably isn't someone you wanted to meet. Looking out one of the many grand windows you were delighted to see grass.
You were on the first floor. Now you just needed an exit.
《◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇》
"Who the hell was that?"
"How the fuck would I know, I've been with Cumulus all day making this shit for the ministry."
"I don't think they're from the ministry, that one."
3 masked servants chatted amongst themselves, loading their arms with plates and other necessities for the dinner party. Although they bore the same horned reflective mask, they differed greatly in personality, voice, and height.
"Then how did they get inside?" The shortest asked, with a slight sass to their question.
A slightly taller servant shrugged, dismissively, "Dunno' but I don't think they're supposed to be here. Or if they even know where they are."
"So, who let them in?"
The tallest of the three spoke up, having been silent the whole conversation.
"Oh, I did." He said, nonchalantly.
"Oh okay... wait, WHAT?!" The shortest screeched in disbelief. Surely such a stupid decision as that wasn't made, right?
His companion shared that same disbelief, it reflected in the eye cutouts of his mask.
"Why would you do that?" He seethed. The reprecutions of such an action was bound to impact all of them. The tallest simply shrugged.
"Why not, they were just sleepwalking towards the church and they were gonna end up here eventually anyway. This way is just a bit more entertaining." The tallest concluded with a grinning edge to his final words.
And without further reasoning the tall man turned away from his companions to continue to dress the table for their guests once more.
"Fucking, dinner and a show I guess..."
