That night you hardly got any sleep, worry wracked your brain and stress your body. You sat knees tucked beneath your chin at the edge of the bed. Each time you shut your eyes, a pair of familiar, daunting copper ones stared back at you.
It wasn't until light began to pour in from the small window near the ceiling that you felt how exhausted you were. And better late than never, you finally laid down and found rest.

"They sa.."
"No, it's not supposed to Cu..."Indistinct arguing from outside your door nudged you awake, the sun now beaming down through the window at full strength. You turned in the bed, shifting the sheets to cover more of your body assuming the people outside would be too busy arguing to realize they'd woken you up. But the minute you moved and unfurled the sheets, the voices stopped. Three knocks rapped on the door.
"Um.." One mumbled, their voice soft. Another scoffed.
"Are you decent?" A new voice spoke, a bit sterner than the last.
The voices were feminine, polite, and pleasant in nature. Those qualities put you a bit at ease, at least they weren't abrasive like the men from last night.
Last night...
"I assume yes." Spoke the sterner one, and with a small click, the creaky old wooden door swung open. They were servants, albeit ones you hadn't seen before their strange reflective masks and black ensemble gave their position away.
They shuffled into the room, the smallest toting 2 cardboard boxes stacked upon one another. Besides their height difference, the only other way you could tell them apart was their body types. One was shorter and plump, the other tall and almost lanky. The shortest one approached and with an audible thud, which startled even her, she set the stack of boxes on the wooden floorboards.
"Hello!" She cheered.
You recognized them to be the owner of the first voice you heard.
Still sitting in the bed you gave a slight wave, her cheerfulness having its own effect on you. An awkward silence took over the room, and you took this chance to properly get out of bed and approach the boxes.
"Those are some toiletries and other basic necessities for you. Imperator wanted you to feel less like a prisoner I suppose, regardless-" she took a deep, tired exhale and gestured to the second box, "a basic button-up and slacks are in there, we've been tasked with getting you measured for your new ministry uniform."
You nodded, still a bit sleepy and not totally awake, you began to strip from your pajamas to change. Forgetting that you weren't alone, you'd gotten your shirt half off before a small squeal caught your attention.
"Eek-!" The shortest squealed.
Now you were wide awake.
"Oh shit!" You yanked your shirt back down. "I am so sorry, I wasn't thinking I'm still really sleepy!" You vehemently apologized. Although the shortest was beyond flustered the tallest simply shrugged with an amused grin.
"No worries, it happens. Nothing we haven't seen before." She chuckled, reaching out to place a black-gloved hand upon the shorter one's back and lead them back to the hallway to let you get dressed.
Embarrassed, you clutched the outfit tight in your hands.
Shit.

With a deep grounding breath, you carefully opened your door to be greeted by the two women once again. They smiled at you.
"You clean up nice." The tallest grinned.
