"So you're following me around for this weekend?" Daniel asks, as I'm trying to get the vlog camera to work.
"Pretty much, both me and Alana are making a vlog of the weekend. I'm filming you she's filming Lando. Together it will be this awesome raceweekend vlog. Or that's what marketing thinks." I explain to Daniel.
"Maybe I'll become an influencer or something." He chuckles.
"I think you already are with your millions of followers on Instagram." I tell him, finally getting the camera to work.
"Hi everyone, I'm Jona and I work in the PR-department of McLaren F1. And this weekend I'll be showing you what Daniel does in a race weekend." I say into the camera, Daniel joining me in the shot.
"She'll probably just film Lando, 'cause she's hung up on him." Daniel chimes in. "But first we got to do a track walk."

"Ugh I'm dead tired." I say to Lando as we're having dinner in the hotel's restaurant.
"So am I," He says, agreeing with me.
"I don't understand why you insist on arriving on Thursday. You're just so tired the whole day." I tell Lando.
"You get used to it I guess." He shrugs.
We finish our meal, and go up to Lando's room. I think this is the first time our rooms are really separated. I'm on the fourth floor, with most of the complementary staff. Whereas Lando and his engineers are on the fifth floor.
We open his laptop and watch a movie together. After the movie, I get up. But before I get to the door, I'm stopped by Lando.
"Stay here?" He asks carefully. I think very well realising that the last time we were in this situation it caused an enormous falling out.
"Okay, but I need to get some clothes for tomorrow first." I tell him, grabbing my room key.
"We could go to your room as well." Lando suggests. "I can bring my clothes, and we'd walk up there together."
"That's fine too, whatever you want." I tell him, and he quickly gets up grabbing clean underwear and clothes for tomorrow.
We wake up on Friday, both full of energy for this race weekend. Today's not only a practise day, but only qualifying. With a sprint race this weekend things are just a little different.
"Good morning," I whisper to Lando, pecking his lips.
"Morning," he mumbles, turning around again.
"You've got to wake up today. It's qualifying." I tell him, hugging him.
"But it's so warm and comfy here." He says, hugging me back.

Being on track today, and filming Daniel is really a whole lot of fun. The guy is just so easy in front of the camera, enjoying every bit of it.
FP1 went by in a blast. Neither Lando or Daniel were satisfied with what they had accomplished on track. Lando finishing P14, Daniel P15.
And now Alana and I are watching qualifying in the garage. Having a vlog camera aimed at each other. Both drivers have made it into Q3. Both driving for what they're worth. Resulting in a P6 for Daniel and a P3 for Lando.
"Yess!!" I cheer in front of the vlog camera, and so does most of the team. Excited to have had such a good qualifying.
Both drivers come back to the garage, ready for interviews. I follow Daniel, who's at the garage a bit earlier then Lando and together we go to the media pen. I think it's one of the first times that media are actually talking to Daniel about him again, rather than about me and Lando. Honestly, it is great to see that. Daniel deserves all the time in the world.
