We walk into the paddock together on Friday. The first time, I'm actually sporting the engagement ring on my finger. Together with Alana and Zak we decided, that we'd get to stay in our bubble a bit. So only Lando had to go in yesterday for a few interviews.

"Are you nervous?" Lando asks, holding my hand before swiping our paddock passes.

"Nah, just a normal day right?" I say with a smile, making Lando laugh a bit in response.

We had announced on Instagram that we were engaged late last night, pretty convince the media would have a field day with this as well.

We don't even make it to McLaren's hospitality before Kelly and Max catch up to us. "Congrats!" Max says to Lando giving him a hand shake.

"Congrats," Kelly says, taking the hand sporting the ring in her hand. "Well done, Lando." She says admiring the ring.

"I know, it's gorgeous right?" I say a big smile on my face. I can't seem to stop that really.

Soon half the grid has spot us, congratulating us on our engagement.

"All drinks on the happy couple on Sunday." Daniel yells, to all the other drivers after Lando agreed that we could do a little engagement party. Cheers coming from many of the drivers.

"You did well." I say to Lando as he gets out of the car in Abu Dhabi, about a month after our engagement. "Best of the rest, you can be proud." I tell him.

"I am." He says, kissing me, before we walk to the media pen. Alana gave me her tasks for today, spotting me if necessary. Just to make me get into the role for next year.

Escorting both Daniel and Lando is rather easy. Both really good at their camera work, both naturals in front of the camera. I'm curious how Oscar will do next year.

"I know you have said no interviews with your fiancee, but would you mind just reflecting on your year a bit together?" Emily asks, replacing the regular interviewer for ViaPlay today.

Lando looks over to me, and I shrug. If he's fine with it, I can be too. But just this one interview.

We talk with Emily a bit, it feels weird talking to her in such an official setting. She got offered a job at ViaPlay F1 too after her internship. So we'll be seeing each other around the track often too.

"Have you given a thought about that summer wedding?" Lando asks as we're walking back to the garage.

"I have." I tell him. "I've always wanted a fall wedding, but summer sounds better." I tell him, knowing very well that fall is a very busy time of the year for us both.

"So are we talking summer 2023 or 2024?"

"Isn't 2023 a bit soon?" I say, knowing there's a lot to be taken care of.

"Let's just do it, we can hire a wedding planner. We don't have to do it all ourselves." He says, wrapping my hand in his. Butterflies going crazy in my stomach. I don't think I can get used to that, ever.

The end.
