Passing Notes

Dean's P.O.V.

The older male couldn't help but bob his head up and down while humming Eye of The Tiger, one of his many favorites.

He must have gotten carried away, because the teacher narrowed his eyes at him.

"Everything alright back there, Winchester?"

Dean heard his last name and his heat shot up, but he soon relaxed and put on a fake smile to please the teacher who was looking at him with a questioning expression. "Just peachy," Dean answered, rolling his eyes once the teacher looked away.

He looked over at Castiel, then back down at his empty notebook, and before he could stop himself, he was writing a note to Cas.

Castiel's P.O.V.

As Cas was writing down notes for the homework assigned tonight, a small piece of paper that was folded up landed on his desk. His first thought was not to open it, but when he looked to his left, he noticed Dean looking at him with those beautiful green eyes, and Castiel just couldn't help himself.

Hey Cassie ;)

wanna sit with me and my freinds at lunch?

Castiel mentally corrected Dean's spelling mistakes, and started to write his own note to Dean.

I didn't expect you to be so cliche' ;)

The Winchester blushed a little and smiled, sending a glare of false anger towards Cas, crumpling up the note as he pretended to be mad.

Dean scribbled words onto another piece of paper and passed it over to Cas once more.

So is that a yes?

Castiel looked at the note and smiled, but the smile soon faded and he wrote out another note for Dean, slower than before.

Dean's P.O.V.

As the Winchester unraveled the note, each word made his smile become smaller and smaller, until he was lost and confused.

I'm sorry Dean, I can't.

I don't think we should be friends.

I know how this will end.

He didn't realize the bell had rang until he looked up and noticed Castiel and all of the other students were gone.

Dean wasn't so hungry for hamburgers anymore.
