Castiel's P.O.V.

Dean wouldn't talk to Cas. He would avoid him for days, not even being able to look at him without having to turn around and find another way to get to class. But in the few classes they did have together, Dean would sit as far as possible from Castiel; and sometimes, he wouldn't even come to class at all.

And lunch, well, Castiel would always be sitting alone.

Castiel was used to the mistreatment he got from other students, or even from teachers or his brothers. Most people did it because he was gay, although Cas never meant for anyone to find out.

But people talk.

Castiel had been to many schools, after the boy's mother had died in a car crash, his father became an alcoholic, and married some slut he met at a strip club. She had Uriel, but soon after that, they got divorced.

Then, another marriage.

They had Michael, Lucifer, and then Gabriel, but once again, another divorce.

His father got married again, and they had Castiel, but after that final divorce, his father started to drink more. He took care of them until Uriel was old enough to live on his own. Uriel tried, but the stress was unbearable. He started to get abusive.

He mainly picked on Cas, seeing that he was the youngest and most vulnerable. Michael had tried to stop Uriel, but it was no use. Uriel was strong, and Michael had given up every time.

Castiel looked up, forgetting that he was still in the crowded halls of the school. When he did, he could just barely see the back of Dean's head as he snuck out of the school, keeping his head down.

'Why is he doing this?' That same question could never leave Cas' mind. Not even for just a few seconds.

Castiel had hoped that Dean would apologize, and the boy would forgive him. At least that's how he had imagined it in his head, but things never go his way.

The last bell of the school day rang, and Cas shoved his books into his bag before leaving out the back door. He heard voices trailing behind, and sped up, hoping that the people behind him wouldn't try anything.

But as he said before,

things never go his way.

He was shoved into the wall by strong hands, and could hear deep laughs as the boy let out a grunt.
