It was night fall before they even made it to the village. Kakuzu had left Hidan in a patch of bushes, so he could find something to hide him in. Walking around with a head, wither it's alive or not, is never a good idea.

Hidan moved his tongue and lips. He had been dormant for so long, he almost forgot what movement felt like. He tried to focus his eyes on the leaves dangling a few inches from his face, but everything remained grey. He sighed in defeat.

He moved his rotten eyes to the sound of dim footsteps. "K-Kaku-z-zu?" He asked the still air. Darkness over shadowed him, someone was standing over him. The person gave no response, they were quiet. They hadn't moved either. It was as if a tree had sprouted suddenly. "Kakuzu, y-you're real-l-ly frea-k-king me out. Sh-shit. J-just say-y something you-u anti-soc-cail assh-" A hand latched onto his mouth, knocking out one of his yellowed teeth. He reacted quickly, biting down on the palm and ripping off the skin with his weak, wiggly teeth, unintentionally pulling out another.

Blood gushed into his mouth, it felt good. He had only tasted dirt and the bug trying to eat him. Though since he didn't have his stomach nor could he draw the symbol of his faith, he could activate the curse. He could not heal either, not that he'd regrow limbs or anything.

The person hissed and yanked their hand away. "Fuck." The spat in a whisper. The voice was familiar, though he couldn't place it. It was soft, yet strong, much like a spiders web. All he could see was blurry movements. Maybe a head turn to look back at him, maybe a hand reaching back out to him before pulling away and running off.

He looked on in confusion. That definitely wasn't his partner, but he didn't know who else would know he was in a bush. Was it a passerby, thinking he was dead or some type of animal and just reached in? Or did they know it was Hidan?

A larger grey body appeared. "Fuck happened to you?" A deep voice asked. "I do-n't fucking know."

Kakuzu narrowed his eyes. Hidan was missing teeth, and covered in blood. Someone else was definitely here. He needed to let Hidan heal, they couldn't go off running right now if they were caught. Hidan couldn't defend himself even if he was fully reattached. He had seen the state of the parts of his body, broken, thin, weak. Not to mention Hidans eyes would take much longer to heal. They couldn't afford to get caught.

He dropped the head in the light blue bag he stole. "Fuck-k. You co-uld-d at lea-st-t be gentle." Hidan growled. "Shut up Hidan. Just stay quiet, we need to lay low." Kakuzu argued with the whining skull. Hidan grumbled but listened.

The village streets was mostly empty, every once in a while a person or an animal past them, but it was an abyss.

The motel was mildly broken down. It wasn't as bad as Hidan but that isn't say much. It clearly hasn't been repaired in years, though it was still running. Most likely illegally.

The room was was dusty and cold. The window was not put in quite right, air leaked into the room. He pulled Hidan out of the beg gently, and placed him onto the black sheeted bed. "Can I talk-k now?" The sliver haired man whined. "I would prefer it if you didn't." Kakuzu walked to the closet, he opened the ugly, white painted door. He pulled out box, this one containing his limbs. They were placed beside him.

He moved the head to the pillow, then pulled the parts of his body out. He felt the threads squirm inside him, as they spread out of his scars. Carefully they stabbed through the squishy skin of Hidans disconnected body. The noises the organ made reminded him of swaps mucky mud when one's boot is stuck. With each new hole the strings made only worsened the smell of shit and death. Piece by piece the body became one. Each of the limbs like a parasite, they could live without a host.

He left his head for last. If there was alive nerves where he had to sew, Hidan would complain or be in pain. It would be better to leave him unfeeling. Hidan flinched with a yelp, there was a live nerve on his neck. Right where the final stitch was.

Hidan tried to sit up but he had no fat nor muscle to hold him up. The closest he could get was resting his body on his elbows before his body gave out, making him fail the pathetic attempt.

Kakuzu grabbed his partner, carrying him. Hidan placed his weak hands on the broad shoulders. He walked the short way to the bathroom, which was somehow cleaner then the rest of the room.

He placed Hidan on the toilets lid. It was cold against his rear, making a shiver vibrate his entire body. Hidan listened to the sounds of water slashing from across the room, the sound was hallow. He once again tried to focus, though he continued to fail miserably.

Kakuzu picked him up again. Slowly he lowered him into the tub. Only a few patches of skin could feel the warmth of the tub, so different from the unforgiving cold of his grave. A squeal fallowed by a spitting sound was heard before a glob of some gel-like liquid slopped onto his head. The others hands slowly moved throughout his hair, spreading the blob around. "Smells weird." Hidan commented, sticking out his tongue, that was nearly twice as small as it was when he last saw his coworker. The smell was washed out, almost like it was 73% water. However, he was happy to smell something other then earth, spoiling flesh and pine. "It's the best we got, so suck it up."

Hidan almost subconsciously leaned into the others touch. It had been three months since he has had any human contact. It was warm, he had nearly forgotten how rubbery skin felt.

"Shi-it!" Hidan shot up and covered one of his eye. "Fuc-k-k! That stings." He started rubbing his closed lid furiously with his arms. "Stop that." The older sighed. He lifted Hidans head by his waist long hair and rubbed the right eye with a towel. "I thought both of them were dead. There's a shit ton of shampoo in the other one." Hidan let out a quite "oh". He didn't feel anything in that eye. Though his vision was too poor to be fixed by any doctor, it hadn't even crossed his mind that one of them could be completely blind. It was going to take longer for him to heal then he thought.

Kakuzu helped him shift back into position, moving his hands back to Hidans hair. It became quiet, the silence was gentle. It was nice.
