Hidan woke up in Kakuzus arms, to the sounds of something thumping on wood and water rushing. The world was pretty around him. Long stocks cover in pink purple and blue stood happily on either side of a river, who's water mimicked them like a wavy mirror. The sun was also reflecting in the water, adding sharp sparkle on each little liquid mountain peak. The bridge just a centimetre away from the small river soon ended, taking them on a dirt trail. The sides were lined with large stones as flat as ice, that caged semi-long, deep green grass.
"Morning." Hidan groggily said, wrapping his arms around Kakuzus neck. "Where are we?" He yawned through his noise, before resting his chin again the others shoulder. His weak eyes opened. The day was bright, still blurry but nothing was black, only a dark grey. "We wondered into the village of fortune." Kakuzu answered.
The village of fortune was on the border of the nation of fire. It was known for its beautiful lands, though that was the only thing that could be considered attractive about it. It had a large crime rate, and weak walls. It was only barely able to sustain itself through wars, more often then not it was a runway between lands during them.
"What time is it?" Hidan rubbed his milky eyes. "Don't know, I'd say late in the morning." Kakuzu stated, looking at the clear sky. "Can you walk?" Hidan moved his head from his should to his chest. "Yeah, but I can't see shit, plus I want you carry me." He said, with a smug smile. Kakuzu wanted to drop him and walk off, leaving Hidan on his own. However, it was probably best for Hidans body to prioritize his energy with healing rather then wasting it on holding him up.
An inn stood at the end of the path. It stood at just three floors, the upper two had seven windows each, most likely meaning there was only 14 rooms. The back yard had a plethora of shrubbery, and a couple trees.
There was nothing covering its front door, leaving it just as an open hole in the wall. "Need a room?" A pouch voice asked.
A young woman stood at the reception desk. She was pale, thin with short hair tucked loosely in a ponytail. Her green eyes scanned to too, then her hand clasped her mouth. "IS... IS HE OK?" She squealed, using the hand not covering her face to point at Hidan. "I'm fine, stop fucking screaming!" She flinched, either because she thought he was dead or because he was so hostile. "O-oh I-uh... are you sure yo-u're alright? C-can I get you anything?" The short woman put her hands up to her chest defensively. "Leave me the fuck alone! Kakuzu put me down!" He hit the olders back like a child have a tantrum.
The yelp was so followed by a thud. Kakuzu stepped over the groaning body on the floor. The woman's hands returned to their duty of covering her mouth, her freaked face went white. "W-will he be a-alright?" She said shakily. "I'll be fucking fine!" Hidan shot out, hand tightly holding his shoulder as he rest on his knees and forehead. "Oh fuck." His spat through the wall of teeth that were cemented together.
He shifted to the uninjured side, glaring into the void. "Oi, you cunt, don't fucking throw me like that!" The two standing on either side of the lobby's desk looked over. "Shut your mouth." Kakuzu narrowed his eyes, looking at the brittle man on the floor. The woman dropped her eyes, not wanting to make eye contact with someone who looked like they shouldn't be breathing. "Are you su-sure he doesn't ne-need anything? Li-like ice?" She whispered. "He'll be alright, he's just ill." The woman looked as if she was uncertain. The man was on a deathbed, and he was being dragged around, at least in her mind.
She looked back at the keys sitting on the small cubby behind her. "I can umm... offer y-you a room fo-for cheap. I-I don't wa-want him to get sicker." She slowly reached her hand to the keys, as if they'd jump and cut her wrists off if they saw her move. "The-eres a re-restaurant n-not to far f-from here, I-I could pi-pick something u-up on my b-break." She muttered as she handed him the key. "Thank you, we'll be fine though. I'll go if I must." She smiled. She was generous, though nervous. A kind coward, someone easy to take advantage of. "O-of course sir, third room on t-th second floor."
The room had deep grey walls, black curtains, and a white futon. Other then a picture frame with blobs of colour, everything was monotone and bland. Kakuzu let Hidan find the bed on his own. The weak man tripped on the carpeted floor, only just able to shield his face. "You shouldn't be so clumsy, this is the second time since we got here." Rage filled eyes glared up at where his voice came from. "Oh fuck you! You dropped me the first time, you godamn cunt!" He stood up, this time successfully finding the bed.
Hidan cuddled under the thick blanket, stretching his body out. "What was wrong with that woman? Was she stupid?" He questioned, rubbing the palm against his shoulder, which was already beginning to bruise. "The way you act is disgusting." The older sat on the bed parallel to the occupied one. "What? Fuck did I do? That bitch was baby talking me!" He grumbled, red faced. "She was trying to be nice to you." Hidan pulled the covers over his head. "Fuck you! I'm going to sleep." Rolling his eyes, Kakuzu stood. After making sure Hidan was asleep, he left the hotel room. Locking the sliding door behind him.
