Hidan felt his hair cling against his chest, due liquid caking him. The dirt around him smelt of iron. Sweat seeped out of him. Everything was cold, him, and the earth. Something was crushing his ribs, shattering his sternum. He couldn't breathe, there was no air around him. He opened his eyes, he couldn't see, the dirt above him covered the sun. 'No! No! No! No! No!' His mind screamed. He felt ants cover him, picking parts away, plucking him a part. They were stealing him. His eyes started to sting, tears leaking out of them. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't move, he couldn't see.
He forced his body into a plank, his hair pooling over his shoulders. His body was soaked with blood, it leaking its way to the ground. His hands were shaky, only beardly able to hold himself up. He gaged on the air, coughing and wheezing. His stomach was twisting like a rag that's too full of water. He turned to sit on his rear. He looked around, taking in his surroundings. Noticing things were no longer as clear as they were yesterday. The woods was as empty, the sound of bees droning not to far away. He shifted his head to the left, seeing Kakuzu just waking up, his eyesight no longer as crisp as it was. Finally he looked down at himself. Even an eyeless man could see that his once white bandages that hugged his torso, were now red, going from black to a watered down crimson. His wound opened up. He let out a withering breathes, begging his mind to calm down. He felt the blooded dressing curl against his skin uncomfortably.
He looked back to his side, Kakuzu sat up and was now streching his back. Once the older looked over at him and saw the blood now well on its way to drench his pants, he shut his eyes while he sighed out of his nose. "I-it's not my fault." Hidan whimpered. Kakuzu buried his head in his hands. "I know it's not. This isn't the way I hoped to start my morning. Just lie down." He shifted his legs so they were facing Hidan. The sliver haired man listened, resting on his back.
Kakuzu peeled back the bandages, gently unraveling them. "Kakuzu." The smaller mumbled. He hummed rather then spoke as a response. "I-I'm losing my eyesight again..." Hidans voice was barely above a whisper. "It's probably because your wound. The immune system doesn't know that you eyes are part of your body, so it's focusing on your cut rather then your eyes." Kakuzu explained. Hidan groaned. "So what you're saying is; I can't get hurt or else I'll go fucking blind?" He growled through his teeth, throwing his arm over his eyes, to protect them from the sun. "Exactly." Hidan swore loudly. "How will I preform my rituals to lord Jashin." Kakuzu bit his tongue, it was too early to fight.
Finally the last few layers of the bandaging was off, revealing a wound thirty times more disgusting then how they left it. The torso was inflamed, swollen twice as large as before. Sores spotted around his chest, stomach, back and sides. All as puss bubbled out the stiches. Though the wound was still shut tight, parts had loosened causing blood to seep out. Hidan hissed as his infected skin hit the air. "Shit." Kakuzu breathed out of his teeth. "What's wrong? Is it bad?" Hidan asked, worry littering his face, since he couldn't see his body too well. "I don't know how we're going to treat this right now." Kakuzu muttered. "I don't want you walking when you're this sick." Kakuzu stated, tucking his arms under Hidans knees and his shoulder blades. He lifted him up in one fluid motion. Hidan zipped up his sweater, not wanting to get blood on his partner. "Let's just get out of here. It's dangerous to stay." He said starting to walk.
The body had to have been discovered by now. Already decomposing. It wouldn't take too long before the village realized that the murder had already escaped.
Hidan clung to Kakuzu, no longer able to see, and he was nervous about the rest of it going. His hands moved to his hair, twiddling between his hands undoing all the detangling Kakuzu did last night.
His stomach started to itch, a uncomfortable fire spreading across his body. "How fucked is it?" He rubbed against the fabric of his sweater, hoping to get whatever felt like pine needles puncturing him out. "Definitely not the worst that I've seen, but it's disgusting." Kakuzu said lowly. "Oi! You old fuc-" Hidan was cut off. "Shut up. I'll get you cleaned up as soon as I can." The exhausted man promised. He desperately needed sleep.
Hidan noticed a change in lighting, it got brighter and not like the sun was dipping between the leaves. He hadn't needed to burry him face into his partners brood chest, had it already become dark? He squinted his eyes trying to figure out the world around him. His hands felt the little nibbles of a cold breeze, he slowed the play of his hair. He retracted his fingers into his warmer sleeves.
"Hey Kakuzu?" He finally spoke. Kakuzu hummed in response. "Can you put me down?" Kakuzu took a moment before answering, the world was quiet, unlike how it was in the woods, he could hear if anyone was chasing after them. They were in a clearing, he'd be able to see them. He lowered his right arm, letting Hidans feet slide closer to the ground.
The long plants made a crunch when Hidan made contact with them. Kakuzu grabbed his still hidden wrist and lead him through the clearing. Hidan could feel the grass tickle his mid shin.
Kakuzu noticed something just narrowly hidden by the cloaking darkness of the night. It was most definitely too big to be a person but it was to in chaotic to be a rock. Hoping that it was nothing important, he started to walk past it. Only for a light to flicker on and a booming voice to call out: "Oi! Who the fuck is out there?!"
A/N: sorry for not uploading these past couple weeks I've been a bit busy!
