Steve

Eddie smiles up at me.

God...how I love that -

"Hey! are we going to go in now?" I hear Mike call from behind me.

I feel my face scrunch up in annoyance.

"We're coming!" Eddie screams back at them.

"Hey, let's try to have a good lunch, yeah?" Eddie says as he makes me look at him.

I feel my face get warm.

"U-uh yeah! Sorry..."

"Don't apologize, Stevie" he smiles again.

I can't help but smile.

"Heh, alright - Come on, Eds"

Eddie smiles brighter as we walk over to the kids, with his hand in mine for like - the fourth time in a day.

But I don't hate -

"Hey, can me and Mike sit at a different table?" Will asks us as we walk up to them.

I look from Mike to Will, and he nods his head at me. I look to my side where Eddie is standing and he looks up at me, nodding as well.

"Alright, I don't see why not" I smile.

Will smiles back at me before he turns around and the two of them quickly walk inside. Eddie and I follow behind them, and I temporarily let go of Eddie's hand to grab and hold the door for him.

I jester for him to go in first with my free hand and Eddie giggles. Freakin gigg -

"Why thank you, Harrington" he says in a playful tone.

"You're welcome, shall we?" I say reaching my hand out for his.

Wait. Maybe I shouldn't have done that - that was definitely too weir -

Eddie laughs before he places his hand on top of mine, looking up at me again and smiling brightly.

I can't stop myself from staring at him.

My god.

How?

How is this possible?

This shouldn't be allowed.

Eddie shouldn't be allowed to look this be-

"Steve? You okay?" Eddie says as he waves his free hand in front of my face.

"O-Oh yeah! Let's go" I smile, quickly.

We walk up to the receptionist, and Eddie hides behind me - squeezing my hand.

"Hello, how may I help you?" she spoke cheerfully.

"Hi, can I have a table for two please?" I say, politely.

"Of course! If you would follow me this way"

She grabs two menus and begins to walk to the dining area.

Eddie unhides himself and I gently pull him with me in the direction that the girl went. As we walk past other people, in the far back, I can see Will and Mike sitting across from each other, and it looks like they are talking through things.
