The men turn around in their seats.Good.
"St-Steve you didn't have to do that..."
"Eddie what are you talking about?! You were being stared at by those creeps!" I say to him.
"Y-yeah but -"
"But nothing! I wasn't going to let that slide! Now, let's enjoy our lunch, shall we?"
Eddie stares at me for a moment, but soon starts to laugh.
"Thanks Stevie"
"No need to thank me, Eds"

"Wait so you need to tell me what you and Will talked about!"
Eddie and I got our food awhile ago and we are now munching down and just talking about random sh*t.
I can't even remember the last time I had a "normal" conversation with someone like this before everything with Vecna.
Plus, I like talking to Eddie.
Heh, he certainly knows how to keep a conversation going.
He likes to ramble a lot too.
Like, get on a topic that he is crazy about - he can go on and on about it.
And quite honestly, I enjoy watching him ramble.
It's another one of those moments where I get to see the real Eddie.
"Heh well, Will was just telling about all the things that he liked about Mike. Like his smile, his laugh, his personality when he wasn't being a dumb*ss -"
Eddie laughs.
"And how they made each other feel safe around the other. Like - they could always go to the other for anything and they felt cared for by each other"
"Aww, that's really sweet!" Eddie chimes.
"Yeah, it really is" I smile.
"Hey Steve, can I be honest with you about something?"
"Yeah, of course - shoot"
"Well...I thought you would be someone that would be against like...the LGBTQ community..." Eddie mumbles.
I stare at Eddie with wide eyes.
Honestly...
I can't blame Eddie for thinking that.
I mean the old me made it seem pretty obvious where I would be when talking about this topic...
"You know, I honestly don't blame you for thinking that..."
Eddie's eyes stare at me with shock, but he doesn't say anything just yet.
"I admit - I acted like someone that would be against anyone apart of that community...but I'm not. I mean - my best friend is a lesbian for crying out loud!...And I want Will to know that he can come talk to me...that he can trust me too...you know?"
I lock eyes with Eddie and he has a big grin across his face.
"Would you look at that."
I raise an eyebrow at him.
"Steve Harrington is an ally of the gays!" he exclaims, throwing his arms in the air and then clapping.
I can't suppress my laughter.
"Ha ha, yes I do, Munson! I don't see anything wrong with it"
Eddie's smile only grows wider.
"And what about you, Munson?"
"What about me, Harrington?"
"How do you feel about the LGBTQ?"
Eddie glares at me like I've just asked the stupidest question on Earth.
"Steve, I literally support the LGBTQ as well. AND - Your lesbian soulmate happens to be my lesbian best friend as well - if you recall!" He snickers.
"Hehe - I know that!"
"Yeah yeah!...But seriously - I think everyone should be allowed to like whoever they want. Whether it be the opposite gender, the same gender - or no gender at all!"
I don't know why...
But...
Something inside me...
Really...
Liked hearing Eddie say that...
"So - do you think that Will and Mike are going to end up together?" Eddie asks as he folds his hands together and leans his arms on the table.
"I mean - I would like for Will to get with the person he likes, but Mike is with El -"
"Oh Stevie - don't even factor that into your thoughts"
"Wait - why not?"
"Eleven is going to drop his *ss for good. I can feel it"
I find myself in a fit of laughter and Eddie soon joins in with me.
