A Second Chance (Steddie)

Chapter 24

"What...?"

Robin and I jump at the sudden sound of a voice.

We look up -

To see Will standing there.

"Y-you like Eddie?..."

I feel my face lose it's color again, but something feels different.

"Yes...I do...." I say loud enough for only Will to hear.

Will's eyes widen more - but there's a faint smile that's starting to spread across his face.

Tears start to stream down his cheeks, and there now a big, toothy grin on his face.

I stand up from the floor and hug Will, tightly.

"Hey! Don't cry -!"

"No no! - these are happy tears - don't worry!" Will laughs, as he wipes his tears away.

"Good for you, Steve"

I don't know why...

But hearing Will say that...

Made me really f*cking happy.

Robin soon stands up and joins in on our hug session.

I can't help the smile that spreads across my face as I squeeze the two of them.

"What's going on over - HERE?" I hear Eddie say, putting emphasis on the "here".

"Yeah - why are you guys having a group hug without us?!" Mike chimes in as well.

We all laugh as we open up our arms to let Eddie and Mike into the hug.

Mike manages to get his arms around Will and Robin puts an arm around his shoulder.

Soon, I realize Eddie is beside me now, one arm around Robin and he wraps the other on my shoulder.

I feel my face heat up and I tense up -

But as I watch Eddie throw his head back laughing, with his dorky grin -

I feel myself relax and I smile too, now wrapping my arm around Eddie's waist.

Eddie jumps at the sudden touch and he looks up at me - before he smiles again.

I can't stop myself from smiling either.

I look around at everyone that's hugging each other and smiling.

I feel tears swell in my eyes because these guys are truly all I need in this life time.

They are my family.
